sorry bro didn't know we are knocking heads..

As u can see in my thread I am much, much more heavier on the 1st half play. Ohio State just does not cover 1st halves to decent teams. As far as the game wager goes the numbers definitely point to Ohio State, but I just cannot wager on them, they cost me too much this year.

GL w/ur Play!!:)

santa clara (+14.5) over gonzaga

* my initial reaction was that this might be a sucker bet. but then im seeing a heavy consensus on gonzaga. kinda puzzling. i know broncos are playing their 3rd game in as many nights, but they stayed with gonzaga and played them even for about 30:00 of the 40:00 in their meeting in cali this year. and clara is normally one of the tougher outs in the wcc tourney. obviously im a big believer in the zags but really think the broncos are the way to go. a little home court advantage combined with a clara team that has played really well the last two nights- i gotta take a shot on them and hope that fatigue isnt an issue. broncos have been night and day on the road, but at home- theyve performed really well vs gonzaga, wisc-milwaukee, and mississippi state.

necessary caveat: this santa clara team has jammed me repeatedly this season. every time ive bet against em i think ive lost. now im riding em - god help me.

last one:

nc-wilmington (+105) over george mason

* playing the numbers here. mason 12-6 in caa (20-8 overall) vs. nc-wilmington 9-9 in caa (15-14 overall). mason took both regular season meetings......and is only layin a point and a half. gimmie the tourney-tested seahawks to find a way to get the win with their tough defense.

gman--agree with your Ohio st play--this game is similiar to Pitt last sunday. But osu is at home. 8 is alot of pts to lay on the road. Ohio st will get the majority of calls and like their big men down low. As long as Illinois doesn't shoot more than 35 percent from 3--Ohiost should be good here.

So. Cal
not really a home court adv. for santa clara tonight.

i've been to many wcc tourney games and the zags ALWAYS bring a ton of people and at worst it will be 50-50 split (maybe 40-60).

new format this year makes this sc third game and the zags first....fresh legs at some point have to come into play?

gjn:

i know what you mean about not being a 'true' home court advantage, but theres something to be said about the familiarity of the rims, no travel, same preparation as home game. we'll see how it goes. hoping broncos stay close.

weird thing about those two. in one game, gonzaga trailed by as many as 8. in the other, they led by as many as 29. won both by 16

nice osu pick. shoulda got the moneyline as well, that was a foul at the end, but a tough one to call in that situation. just when you think things are going sour, you pull one off. isn't that always the way??

gl tonight. i'm on santa clara with you, any thoughts on the total?

winder:

was it a foul? probably. but im not gonna complain. i feel like i at least handicapped ohio states 'emotion' correctly where they werent gonna lay down, but illinois just played really well in the 1h and gave themselves a cushion where i was just hoping ohio state could get inside the original 8. illinois definitely earned the SU win, but osu earned the +8 cover.

re: santa clara- i dont have too much of an opinion on that total. i DONT think santa clara is gonna run with gonzaga because thats a recipe for disaster. but theyve scored a lot of pts so far in the wcc tourney and the total is low enough where it could still go over even if its not an up and down game. very very light opinion on the under
