Quenneville confirmed that veteran Nikolai Khabibulin would be in goal against the Islanders. The veteran hasn't played since Feb. 11 when he suffered a lower-body injury in Atlanta.

"The whole practice I felt pretty good," said Khabibulin, who has dressed as Cristobal Huet's backup the last two games. "You have to start somewhere and [Sunday] is a good day."

I see folks complaining about this. Adjust your handicapping--each challenge is an opportunity!

look at how Toronto has not covered -1.5 line since Feb 17.

notice how Colo and Anaheim lead NHL with 36 or 37 one-goal games. (I incorrectly stated it was NYI in above post)

scruitinize the tight divisional games in playoff-like situtations now.

update: I was wrong on Toronto, I noticed last night they just had thier first -1.5 cover since Feb 17.

I get destroyed in OT and Shootouts, I think I'm like 20% win rate when a game goes to extra time. And if my team doesn't win in OT, I'm like 5% win rate in a shoot-out. My team never wins a shoot-out I pretty much always lose:142smilie

The +1.5 are good, but then ya get burned with the empty net goal.......ahhhhhh the empty net goal....man I hate those

Oh and by the way....since the inception of the shoot-out, the worst team is Toronto....they are horrific in shoot-outs....horrific:scared

yup, I just noticed that empty net myself!

but I run into fewer of these than one would think...

it is the first empty net to ruin a +1.5 line in the last 8 I've posted here, for example..

I can't recall an empty net goal ever helping me....it happens...but it is rare
