UMass - over Bonnies **
Bonnies since Soloman took over 3 yrs ago are something like 4-39 in A-10 games.They finally got a win vs Richmond last week.I watched the Dukies game and this team has trouble defending and running an offense.Lottin[30-119] shooting from anywhere,Lee dribbling in traffic,Williams shooting poor shots.
UMass is just a few games below .500.They are playing there 3rd straight rd game but that was vs good teams.They lost to Fl St and played them tough losing by 10.They just lost to GWash by 3 in a game they could of won.Freeman is the 6'9 inside player that should dominate.Lasame is his partner at 6'8 and a good shotblocker.Life is there only scoring gd and that is the Minutmens problems.The guards.They had 29 tirnovers vs GW and still almost won on the rd.
This is a very inconsistent team at that position.Lowe is young and coming along.Bonnies can't pressure the mass gds so that gives them an advantage.Think Mass frontcourt is to much for weak Bonnies.Although Mass has only beaten one A-10 rd team-Dukies by 20] they get the win today.
Nova - over Georgetown **
Nova's gds attack is the best in the country.Frazier has his hands full inside but look at what they did vs Uconn.Hoyas frontcourt is tough buts gds are there weakness.Nova should win this by double d's.I know there coming off big "high" from Huskies but Wright has these kids focused.Hoyas will have trouble defending because Nova can kick the ball out anytime and there are 3 shooters waiting.
Did poor yest..Lost 2 out of 3 strong plays with La-laf losing.
Jet fan....I don't profess to be a good handicapper.I just handicapp.I have my system that I use and its goes great sometimes and bad other times.There are many,many,many better handicappers them me here in MJ's. I steal from them daily and respect them all. I study and breakdown games,play my stats..alter them...throw in what defense teams plays..who is the coach..home-away..momentum...outstanding gds or post player.. dominating blue chip player[impact], and about 10 or more others.Then I look at the line and if I like it I'll play it.
I don't mind you posting and asking questions.You can suggest I'm overated and thats fine.I do explain my picks.And of course when you do, your open to criticism esp when you lose.Of course you also get praise when you win.Here at MJ's its one of the best places to post since there is so little bash,trash,etc talking.And by no means am I saying you did that.I respect you and have no problem with you.
I don't post my records but your welcome to look them up for yourself.I also don't post lines and last yr explained why.[get my e-mail address from MJ and I'll explain it to you.
For yest recap..went 1-2 in strong plays losing biggest one in La-laf.And in that game capping I had the number in double figures.Did all the above stats,even conf,RPI,.SFA plays a half court offense,never runs,etc.They play man/man ,etc.Matchups,Southall,etc favored Laf.
But SFA works on zone all week and packs the entire team in the paint.Southall is smotherd and only gets 6 shots off in the 2nd half.Laf defense does its job but SFA's game plan works and they lose by a few.I lose...
Every game you capp has those intangibles going on.That is why 56% to 60% is outstanding in what we do try to do.
Overall yest went
3-3 on posted plays and 2-3 on small plays.Down 4 boxes.
Last Sat went 12-5 and was +15 boxes.
I'll be up some and down many..But I'll keep my elbow in on the shot and try to follow thru.My problem is I want to shoot to many shots.That Jet Fan I'm guilty of.But I'll do better...I promise..
