ny/minn over (41) 1 unit. purely a gut play. great fade opportunity.
miami/buffalo under (34.5) 1 unit. first matchup finished 16-6. more of the same today. jp losman against a good defense on one side and joey harrington on the other. strong lean to miami as well.
jacksonville (-3) 1 unit. 2 things keeping this from being a much stronger play... jacksonville tends to play down to the level of their opponent and the jags defense is much more generous on the road. the former will be ok if the jags take the titans seriously, but they may not after crushing them earlier in the season. the latter.... just have to figure the jags can manage to contain the supernatural force that is vince young. i'm wondering if he is the least-accurate quarterback to ever play in the nfl, much less win a game.
philadelphia (+5.5) 2 units. as i've been saying the last few weeks, the eagles are much better with jeff garcia running the west coast offense. the giants were really struggling until they beat a panther team that was in even worse shape. not impressive.
oakland (-3) 2 units. oakland's d has been playing great, especially at home. the rams threw everything they had at the bears monday night. i don't see how they can get up for this game against the raiders.
