st louis (+3) 1 unit. should these browns really be favored on the road against anybody?

det/chi over (45) 1 unit. without mike brown, this bears defense is not as good. plus, detroit's offense will come in with extra confidence after putting up 34 points in the 4th quarter against chicago 4 weeks ago. on the other side of the ball, don't look now, but chicago has a real qb! no, greise isn't great, but compared to grossman? he's the next johnny unitas.

carolina (+7) 1 unit. tought spot for the colts, coming off the monday nighter against jacksonville, and with ne on deck. that's right, in case you haven't heard... indy plays ne next week. lord, it's tough backing vinnie. so very, very tough. but i think it's the right play today.

oakland/tenn under (39) 1 unit. wow, did anybody see what this tennessee team is capable of with a real qb? amazing, wasn't it? again, kerry collins is hardly the second coming, but compared to vince young? he's joe montana. but, vince is back, so this game should go comfortably under the total.

pitt (-4) 1 unit. pitt owns the bengals in cincinnati. and, this year, when pitt wins, it's not close.

tampa (-3.5) 1 unit. quinn gray? for real? um, when the jags released byron leftwich, did they forget to sign a backup qb? 'cause you really kinda need one (if not two) of those in this league. i can only assume quinn gray was their 4th string wide receiver, because he's certainly not a qb.

san fran (+2.5) 1 unit. ugh. purely on principle, i have to take points from these saints as a road favorite. but i don't have to like it.
