1. Jazz -2.5

Utah is playing good ball right now and is 3-0 in the last three SU and ATS. Its is also 6-2-1 in the last 10 meetings with NYK.

NY is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games and are not playing good ball.

There have been trade rumors involving Russel and even though Malone has gone on record saying that all trades have to go through him the fact stands that unless they make a run in the western conference this trade may be a reality. So the next few games are very very important for the Jazz for playoff contention as well as for this factor. I am sure this fact has been impressed upon them and I look for Jazz to have a huge game especially Russel. Usually tendency of good players is to play a better game if they are gonna be put on the block. Stock increases (my thinkin)

NY is 8-19 ATS this season and 7-17 ATS on one days rest.

Also another factor is rebounding:

I think Jazz should be able to dominate the boards in this matchup. They already have a +4 rebounding edge and Camby being injured means that no real big player other than Thomas for rebounding.

Jazz has also been shooting well. I am not taking Jazz in the first half because NYK have a tendency to come out strong. But falter in the second half as they dont seem to be interested in playing.

This has been happening for the last couple of games and we can use this in our favour. Also I dont like the coach of NYK 2 much in terms of his decisions. Dont understand .. Anyways .. sticking to the data ..

2. Minnesota / Miami Over 184

I think this like should be around 187.

Miami has been playing good as of late. Other than the game against Atlanta they have manged to score average of around 95 points. Eddie Jones has been playing good and the win against Bucks. This must have raised their confidence and does translate into good offence.

Minny on the other hand has been playing good at home. They have a very good home record and even though they lost at home to Denver by one point they were playing hard and thats good to see. In their last 3 games at home they have hit average of 106 points. Even though Miami defence is good give or take 8 points they should be able to hit around 98 points or so.

Minny will try to force the fast game and push the ball up the floor. This may translate into more shots. Also looking for good some offensive rebounding on both ends and quick points.

Both teams have had one days rest which is of importance to a team like Miami whose average age is more than other teams.

All in all I think the Over is a good bet here.



3. LALakers / Portland Over 192

I think the total for this will be around 197.

Portland's last 7 games have played over. What this translates into is that either their offence is going good or they are giving up a lot of points. Either way we are concerned more about the total here.

In the last 3 games of Portland the average score has been around 210.

Shaq not playing for the bulls so not much offensive rebounding for the Lakers. But this may also work that there will be more offensive rebounds for Portland and some quick points. Both teams like to push the ball up the floor fast and thats good for the Over as it translates into more shots taken. Lakers lost to Atlanta at home last game and they must want to come out and play strong against this Portland team.

Another factor here is that this game is on NBC. We all know how much Kobe love to be on TV and I am sure he will give a better performance than the one against Atlanta.

The over is 12-5 when Portland has had one days rest. Portland has more offence than Atlanta and this one should be more high scoring that the Atlanta game where the Over under line was at 196.

Favouring the over here. Both teams have had one days rest and should be fresh to play on Sunday on National Television.

4. Memphis/Charlotte Over 191

This one is a little bit tight on the line but favour the over here.

The over is 16-9 when Charolette are at home.

Jason Williams is expected to play which may mean some quick shots .. also may mean more turnovers leading to some quick points for Char.

Memphis can score around 94 points and am looking at Charlotte to score around 100.

Char has been playing good on offence and think that Davis and Campbell will have a good game. Same for Gasol and Battier.

Have already written on Utah game. Am favoring Indiana here since they have a better record at home than on road. Also Philly in bit of funk lately and Iverson may not dress for the game. That should be good for Indiana. Look for Reggie Miller to shoot some 3's tonight.

best bet won .. only by a whisker .. what horrible shooting at free throw line by jazz .. damn ..

lost total had played by one point .. got evened out but won on second half play with jazz ..

looking back at todays plays :

what a horrible show by charolette .. damn ..
lost outright ..

minny/miami .. horrible shooting again ..
almost all games in the morning and afternoon went under ..

almost all games late went over with the exception of dallas whose total i thought was 2 much .. 212 even for a dallas team playing back to back ..

is this a trend ????? ingnored the fact that memphis are 4-0 Under when playing in the afternoon .. now they are 5-0 .. should keep that in mind ..

won LA Portland over comfortably ..

all in all .. ended up day +ve .. $180 more than in the morning so happy ..
