....thanks for the update ...and appreciate it...will add if time permits.. the local media slop to go into sundays and mondays games.

-------------

AP reports the New England Patriots removed LB Tedy Bruschi from the physically unable to perform list Saturday afternoon, making him eligible to play in Sunday night's game against the Buffalo Bills.

The East Valley Tribune reports Arizona Cardinals seventh-round draft pick WR LeRon McCoy will be the team's No. 4 wide receiver Sunday against the Cowboys. Up until now, McCoy has only played in one game, and that was on special teams. That role drastically changed Monday, when the Cards abruptly cut WR Charles Lee. McCoy has good speed, but his hands were not great in training camp, the last time media was allowed to watch practices. HC Dennis Green insisted McCoy will be fine ? "I wouldn?t play a guy who I didn?t think would help us win, I just wouldn?t do that," Green said ? but McCoy wasn?t making any predictions. McCoy credited starting WR Larry Fitzgerald and WR Anquan Boldin for showing him the need to be both consistent and professional.

The Sacramento Bee reports the San Francisco 49ers are expected to alter their audibles and other play calls in an effort to thwart the newest Buccaneer, former 49ers QB Tim Rattay. The 49ers traded Rattay to Tampa Bay earlier this month. "Obviously, Tim knows the offense inside and out," said OC Mike McCarthy. "But also, (Buccaneers defensive coordinator) Monte Kiffin and I have competed against each other a lot over the last five years. That's just another factor."
Mlive reports Chicago Bears first-round draft pick RB Cedric Benson, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2005 draft, isn't likely to see significant action anytime soon. Veteran RB Thomas Jones is playing so well that Bears HC Lovie Smith doesn't plan to make any changes -- despite Benson's potential. "Well, (Jones) is definitely running well. We think he is playing as good as any back in the league right now," Smith said. "By saying that, I think there is only going to be a limited amount of carries for Cedric."

The Tampa Tribune reports with Bucs QB Chris Simms starting at quarterback for the first time this year, the Bucs believe the 49ers will try to amp up their pass rush in an effort to force Simms into mistakes. "We expect them to blitz," HC Jon Gruden said. "They have some really strange blitzes, some unbelievable blitzes. They blitzed against St. Louis early and against Philadelphia so we're preparing for it."

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Rams interim HC Joe Vitt said DE Leonard Little would return to St. Louis on Monday. Little left town Oct. 18, a day after 24-year-old Jermaine Little was shot to death in Harriman, Tenn. Vitt said that Little had been deeply affected and that the timing of his return was "an organizational decision. We're going to work with him when he gets back." After Sunday's home game against Jacksonville, the Rams will have a week off before playing at NFC West rival Seattle on Nov. 13.

The Houston Chronicle reports Texans HC Dom Capers said this week that QB David Carr has improved from where he was at the start of the season. "I've seen David make some progress in some areas," he said. "We got off to a real tough start at Buffalo. Because David's such a competitor, (he) tried to force the issue in some situations and tried to make plays that weren't there. Since that time, I think he's come back and done a much better job of managing the game. We're obviously still a work in progress in terms of our pass protection, but I've seen us, at times, do the things that you have to do to win games on offense. We got off to such a tough start that first game. I think that you'll see him pull through this the second half of this season."

Hakim (ribs, questionable) practiced Friday and is expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins, the New Orleans Times Picayune reports.

Redskins kicker John Hall said Friday that he expects to play in Sunday's game against the Giants. "I'm not 100 percent certain," Hall told the Washington Post. "But I have a feeling I'm playing. Nobody's said anything, so I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I think I'm ready to play." Hall has been sidelined since week one when he strained a quadriceps muscle.
