Braves ?150

The Braves were embarrassed yesterday and will look for redemption today and have the right pitcher going to get it. Ramirez goes for the Braves and except for runs in the early going he pitched flawless in his first appearance and will be ready for today?s afternoon game. Penny goes for the Marlins and he did not look good in the spring @ 0-2 with an ERA over six. Would have liked to take the run line in this game but Penny?s team have done well against the Braves when he starts with a record of 5-2 in the last seven but many of those games he got at least 5 runs in support and that will not happen today. This Ramirez kid is legit.

Cubs ?153

Could it get any worse for the Reds right now? They lose Griffey and have to face Kerry Wood who has fared well against the Reds and should provide the Cubs some innings in this game. The Reds on the other hand may not have any bullpen left as their staff has been getting torn up and over used. At one point I heard during the telecast yesterday that Reds starters had 20 innings pitched and relievers had 15. Not good for the Reds who could have a long day.

St. Louis +116

The cardinals need to salvage a game of this mess called a series and have the edge in the pitching game today. Oswalt has been on the losing ends of many of his starts against the red birds and the Astros are 0-4 in his last four starts. The cardinals are 2-0 when Simontacchi starts against the Astros.

I have series plays in progress and need wins by the Pirates and the Rangers to collect the dough and in some cases may play the other team to hedge and make sure I leave with some ching but not today as I like both teams.



Some bad weather reports for the Area in KC and New York so make sure you play listed pitcher and check for late scratches.


Speaking of that game I hope they get it in because my best bet is on the Tribe +121. KC is hot and I do not like to go against the streak but I watched this game yesterday and saw many things I did not like about the Royals play. They were letting chances slip through their fingers to score runs and that is something a team on a winning streak does not do and so I am seeing signs they are headed in the other direction. Today?s pitching game also favors the Indians because Westbrook had a great spring and has renewed confidence. He was great at 1-0 with 14 innings pitched and just gave up three runs and did not issue one walk a sign of great control. His opposition today Day had a bad spring with an ERA over nine and pitched just 11 innings giving up tweleve runs and walked more men then he struck out. Last year the Royals were 1-4 when he started against the Indians and they lit him up scoring runs all over the place. Hope the weather clears up for this game today so I can try to get another best bet in. Make sure to play listed pitcher here in case the weather is a factor.

Last but not least the Rockies +210 are worth a go in this spot but it is more of a play against the cold bats of Arizona and Schilling?s tendency to give up the long ball.
