Let's see if I can do better at this than baseball. LOL Did pretty decent in the preseason but that is a whole different story from the regular season. GLTA this weekend.

New York Jets
St. Louis
Philladelphia
Green Bay
Pittsburgh

Will probably add some info later on these games, if not tonight, tomorrow morning.

One thing that makes me lean towards Denver against the Rams is the turf. Rams are a team built for speed, but it seems they have problems when they play on grass. The Rams can dominate teams on astro turf, but they seem to have problems with the real stuff. I also like the under in this game.

That's a good observation, but I am looking at the fact that St. Louis averages just over a 100 yards more offense than Denver. Stl defense is better but not considerably better than Denvers. The last time these teams played Stl won 41-36 but didn't cover the -6.5 line. I think the game is gonna be close again but I think Stl will prevail by more than the -3 that the line is at now. I am not even considering the fact that Stl didn't win a preseason game, because those games mean absolutely nothing. It is a whole different state of mind when playing in the regular season plus the starters will be playing all game unless it is a blowout. I dunno I guess we will just have to see. Thanks for the input though.

Pittsburgh at New England

The first and most significant thing is The Revenge Factor. If it wasn't for New England and a screw up by Troy Edwards the Steelers might be coming into this season as defending Super Bowl Champs. I think that Pittsburgh's offense is gonna beat up on the New England D, despite all the bull going on with Jerome Bettis (People after the big M word--Money). Last season Pittsburgh averaged 360.5 yards offense and New England averaged giving up 326.7 yards per game. New Englands offense averaged 305.9 yards per game but they will be going up against last years best defense who averaged giving up 252.6 yards per game. In last years AFC Championship game New England was outplayed by the Steelers. The Steelers gained 58 yards rushing, 248 in the air, for a total of 306 yards. New England had 67 yards rushing, 192 passing, for a total of 259 yards. In other words, if the Steelers special teams wouldn't have given up TWO touchdowns the Steelers would have most likely won and gone on to the Super Bowl.

Atlanta at Green Bay

The last 4 games between these two teams have split. Both teams have had impressive preseasons, but like I said before, preseason means absolutley nothing after opening kickoff. Now offensive/defensive matchup.

Atlanta Offense: (Ranked 15th in the NFL last season.)
average 317.5 yds, 111.8 Rushing yds., 205.8 Passing yds.
18.2 Pts Per Game
Green Bay Defense: (Ranked 12th in the NFL last season.)
average 306.6 yds, 106.8 Rushing yds., 199.8 Passing yds.
18.1 Pts Per Game

Green Bay Offense (Ranked 6th in the NFL last season.)
average 345.3 yds., 106.4 Rushing yds., 238.9 Passing yds.
24.0 Pts Per Game
Atlanta Defense (Ranked 30th in the NFL last year.)
average 365.4 yds., 121.5 Rushing yds., 243.9 Passings yds.
23.6 Pts Per Game

I predict for the FINAL SCORE of this game to be:
Green Bay: 27 Atlanta: 13

Philadelphia at Tennessee

The last 4 meetings between these two teams are at 3-1 in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams split in their 4 preseason games. Here is how they stack up on offense and defense.

Philadelphia Offense
307.7 yds (17)
111.1 rushing yds (13)
196.6 passings yds. (20)
21.4 Pts Per Game (9)

Tennesse Defense
344.7 yds (25)
89.4 rushing yds (5)
255.3 passing yds (31)
24.3 Pts Per Game (25)

Tennessee Offense
334.6 yds (8)
112.3 rushing yds (12)
222.4 passing yds (8)
21.0 Pts Per Game (12)

Philadelphia Defense
293.8 yds (7)
114.8 rushing yds (18)
179.0 passing yds (2)
13.0 Pts Per Game (2)

I look for Philadelphia's passing game to be the difference in the game especially since Tennessee has a tendency to give up a bunch of yards through the air. Also, I think Philadelphia's defense is gonna dominate the Tennessee offense.

The FINAL SCORE for this game will be:

Philadelphia: 17 Tennessee: 7
