except for one hot day i've been in a slump this week so caveat emptor, but i do like these plays today:
mil/con under 12-: two solid starters who throw a fair amount of k's. first look at these pitchers for all of today's batter's and angel hernandez should be giving all the corners. hard for me to imagine that the brewers can carry their share of this number. just hold your breath when the bp's take over.
kc -125 and over 9-: kc playing well of late and actually hitting lefties reasonably well . with fryman hurting and the finley trade indians have got to be in the dumps. sabathia has pitched well against the royals but one thing that has caught my attention is lack of conditioning that leads to concentration lapses. heat index will be about 110 today in kc and cc should be sweating like a whore in church. reilly is a fairly neutral ump but he has a tendency to squeeze lefthanders which should lead to high pitch counts by both pitchers and consequenly calls to both rather shaky bullpens.
