General thought is that Atl is a one man team. Thinking Philly's Westbrook is the be-all end-all for that team. McNabb has been asked before to carry this team and wasn't given enough tools to do so. Without TO, these receivers are mediocre at best. Atl can focus on Westbrook and stop McNabb with a strong rush, I think they can win here. Eagles defense way over rated. The bad weather here affects what I think is a Philly finesse offense more than Atl. I don't like Mora as a coach or the FG kicker they have for this outdoor game, but Reid isn't very affective IMO and the Eagles have a tendency to F'up enough to leave their opponents in the game. Atl will be bringing it and Vic will have one or two massive plays that could carry them in this one. I saw a lame and disinterested Minny team have quite a bit of success against this Philly D. Especially running the ball, which they couldn't use enough by being down thoughout the game. I think a much better ATl defense and a Philly defense that will give a few crucial opportunities to their opponents will be enough for an ATL with no expectations to win here.

Liking NE in game two

It's not like the weather is going to bother this team. I think Bill will throw some major stress Bens way and it may be too much for the kid that f'd up in his 1st big game a week ago. He's now up against a better coach, the elements, and a better team that what the Jets threw at him. I like the kicker and the professionalism the whole NE team will bring to this road game. They aren't ready to lay down their crown yet. They are Super Bowl tested and know the ride is much easier to #1 if they can pull this one out. Pitt has too many questions going into this one. Regardless of the 1st meeting, NE is going to adjust to their weaknesses and use their strengths to win. Pitt strengths are known commodities, and their weaknesses need more than just one week to overcome going into this game. People all ready to think the public is on the wrong side here as in the Indy game. Vegas set this opening line up and it has actually only moved a bit. I think that is the wrong train of thought to wager on this game with.

Forget the public
Forget the 1st game
Forget the 16-1 (mostly reg season) record
Forget the elements favoring the home team

Don't forget Bettis likes to lay the ball down
Ben still has the bad finger and the bad game a week ago
The Chin is brutal in these games
Pitt can win every game next year, they are a bit early

Over 300 carries and ONE fumble, WTF??

Do you guys just make up info to justify taking the square side of things?

that would be my best guess

Bettis has been around a while. He lays it down. They don't LOSE EVERY one. I'm not in the habit of masking things up. It's my opinion on the way the game will be played. NE will be swiping.

Do you forget all the comments you made about Pittsburgh in just one week? :violin:

Never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Ed Ludes on you homers. :jerkit:

Guess I should be happy if a homer is only going to find fault with one thing, after I go over a number of things.

GL on your team.

Hope they don't look bad because your fingers will be sore by the time your done typing.

YOU MADE UP YOUR OWN STAT THAT DOES NOT EXIST :mj21:

Come on IO, that one just jumped out at me as super obvious, thats all, I didn't even look it up so my stat may not be the most accurate, but I am sure he didn't lose a fumble all regular season. Just seemed like you were grasping at straws there, no disrespect, good luck today.

As far as being a homer, well I have been as critical as anyone in Pittsburgh of the Steelers and Cowher over the years, but this is a better team than anyone give them credit for. After it's all said and done people will be wondering how in the hell they laid points against a team that is

1. The Number ONE seed

2. Unbeaten at home

3. Unbeaten in 15 straight games

4. The number ONE defense in the league

6. Has a 16-1 record

The only thing Patriot backers will be saying when this one is over is WTF was I thinking.

Like I said, Good Luck today and no disrespect, you just struck a nerve with that one.

sad part is ben has looked horrible the last 4-5 games. i am a huge ben fan since miami. that being said how is this team superbowl better than last year ? ben ? no way. why is everyone discounting no cory dillion in the 1st match ? ben is going back to the playbooks when this is over to learn more about defensive schemes. all the homer fans calling for pitts but not one has fessed up to the fact PITTS LOST LAST WEEK (yes the team lost) the jets beat themselves. ne will control the tempo bettis is an OLD FART who will go back to the bench next year or retire. good luck but how can you go against brady.belichick and 2 of 3 superbowl rings ? HEY COWHER wheres yours ?

Another way to look at the game....

A 16-1 team, at home, playing a team they previously pounded that has less wins, and Vegas is going to give them 3 points?

There has been so much crap in this forum this week it's starting to make me sick. With that being said best of luck today. I'm with you on the Pats but against you with the Falcons at least one of will be a winner in that game. :)

Against you on the Pats, but am worried about Bettis' hands, too. Those things come in streaks because the defense focuses on them once it happens once.

Don't worry about the pro. We're all squares to him and he hasn't seen a Pittsburgh line that he hasn't liked all season.

Good Luck, IO

Now BBC with a questionable statement. It's not true if you think I was on the Steelers all year, but so what if I was, they were 10-5-1 against the number this year, can you say the same?
