The Braves send Smoltz to the hill, who had a horrific outing in his first game, losing to the Marlins 8-0. He takes on Pedro, who is making his second start in a Met uniform, and pitched awesome only to see the bullpen blow it in the ninth.

Smoltz owns the Mets, getting every big win and save, for that matter, against New York over his entire career. I can't remember a time where Smoltz didn't come up big against the team that the Braves always beat up on.

0-6 for the Mets heading to Shea? Going to be a long trip on the seven train to Flushing for those Met fans on Monday afternoon.
