sunday nite

Raiders vs Broncos (Week 6)(NBC) 08:15 pm Under 37 :toast:

Oakland and Denver to stay UNDER the posted total tonight in the Mile High City. These two long-time rivals have managed to stay under the final price in seven of their last nine meetings and this one will, too.

Did you see that Denver defense just dominate Baltimore last Monday night? This Pony Express stop unit is one of the league's elite, especially at home, where Denver has stayed under in five of its last six division games. Folks, this defense has allowed just one TD all season (Tom Brady scoring pass) in the first four games and Oakland is not going to find the end zone this evening with Andrew Walter under center.

Aaron Brooks is still injured and Walter has a paltry QB rating of 38.5. Randy Moss has become a non-factor and Oakland runs better than it passes. The Silver & Black will work hard to establish a ground game and shorten the game by running clock. They know scoring won't be easy as Denver is allowing just 8.5 points per contest.

And speaking of running the football, we know that's Denver's goal. But it will face an Oakland team that overall is ranked 10th defensively this year. They have struggled at times shutting down the run, but they'll load the box Sunday and force Jake Plummer to make plays. Oakland ranks second in the league against the pass and Denver is 30th in the league in passing. This game will be about Red Zone turnovers and running the football that will keep the clock moving.

Oakland, which has stayed under the total in the second of back-to-back road games seven times in the last eight such contests, will not break double digits in this one. The Denver offense will score, but not enough as this one stays under the final tally.
