tampa (-1) 2 units. the more i look at this game, the more i like tampa. Atlanta is 0-4 ATS on the road. statistically speaking, tampa dominated the first matchup 4 weeks ago. they had 8 more first downs, 46 more total yards, 15 minutes more in time of possession, AND THEY HELD ATLANTA TO 18 YARDS ON THE GROUND. 18 yards on 18 carries. wow. oh, and Atlanta plays new Orleans this Thursday.

buffalo (+2) 1 unit. kinda scares me... is anybody on the jets? but buffalo has been very solid at home. they are one jeff tuel away from being 5-0 ATS at home.

Washington (+5) 2 units. the redskins are the 2nd team to get their 2nd look at chip Kelly's offense. the first was the giants. in the giants' first game against philly, they gave up 36 points. in their second matchup, the giants gave up 7. ok, ok, sure, that was the matt barkley game. but still, a 29-point difference. oh, and philly has lost 10 straight home games. seriously. 10 straight.

Chicago (-3) 2 units. I hate that this weather is screwing up what would have been a large play on the over in this game. BUT.... I think it really favors the bears. with forte, they can actually run the ball. the raven's running game has been non-existent. and flacco's specialty, the deep heave/prayer, ain't going to work very well in a tornado.

Cleveland (+4.5) 2 units. the browns are 3-1 in games started by anyone other than Brandon weedon. only thing that scares (ok, terrifies) me is that all 8 cbs "experts" picked Cleveland. they are 3-14 this season when they all agree. at least they're also all on the jets.

Houston (-10) 1 unit. normally I really "like" betting on qbs making their first start. but matt mcgloin? I seriously had no idea he was on an nfl roster until yesterday. hilarious.

Minnesota (+12.5) 1 unit. ugh. it just feels like seattle can play "name that score" in this game. but the seahawks are coming off an easy revenge win over Atlanta and they have a bye coming up, followed by a Monday night game against new Orleans. based on what we've seen from seattle their last 2 home games, they may start their bye week a little early.

Kansas city (+7.5) 2 units. I've come full circle on this game. my original thought was that kc has played a VERY weak schedule and Denver is going to score, and kc won't be able to keep up. but the more I think about it... the kc defense is legit. if you can put pressure on the qb without blitzing, you have a shot at slowing down a prolific passing offense. and kc can certainly do that with hali and Houston.

wow, i'm playing 8 out of 13 games. that's not a recipe for disaster or anything.
