kc/wash over (44.5) 3 units. will the chiefs really be focused on this game today? consider the 3-game stretch they're coming off of, and their last 3 to finish the year are against Oakland, indy, and san diego. they gotta figure they can just show up today and beat the horrible redskins. that defense is due for a letdown. who knows, RGIII might almost look competent today. on the other side of the ball, kc's offense has been having success against a couple mediocre defenses. and they get another bad one today.
Cleveland (+9.5) 2 units. if the pats were ever going to have a letdown, today is the day. they're coming off a tough stretch and they get to visit Miami next week. you KNOW Giselle has been begging tom to call in sick this week so they could go to Miami a week early. anyway, it's really sad when Jason Campbell gives you your best chance to win, but that is the case for the browns. their defense will step up today and keep this one close.
Oakland/ny over (40) 2 units. the easiest under on the board.... on paper, this could end in a scoreless tie... so smitty has to bet the over. geno smith needs about 190 yards to break the jets rookie record. I think that says a lot about the quality of rookie qbs the jets have had. I want to bet the raiders today, but it feels a little too easy. the early game on the east coast is always tough for the west coast teams.
Cincinnati (-7) 2 units. dammit, it's up to 7. oh well. cincy is much better at home. another mediocre effort from the colts will get them blown out today.
Philadelphia (-2) 2 units. I still see no reason to like Detroit on the road against a decent team. and the eagles, with nick foles, are a decent team. remember, the lions just lost to the bucs at home 2 weeks ago.
Denver (-13.5) 2 units. I hate laying big chalk, especially in the nfl, but this is the titans' 3rd straight road game. combine that with the mile high air. even with the frigid temperatures keeping manning's numbers down, Denver should pull away in the 2nd half.
san fran (-2) 2 units. I only went back 4 years, but the home team in this matchup has won 9 straight and is 8-1 ATS. and, with only one exception, the games haven't even been close. I look for the niners to get revenge for the blowout at seattle earlier this year.
