Upstate NY
tampa/dallas over (48) 3 units. dallas averages 8 more points at home than on the road and here is the total score of each tampa road game this year... 88, 58, 63, 71, 72, 73, and 32. so with one exception, each has gone over 48 by at least 10 points. that one exception was last week, at baltimore, who statistically has the best pass defense in the league.

carolina (ML)3 units to win 3.9
over (45.5) 3 units. i was a fan of heinicke at odu and thought he could make a decent pro. well, he's finally getting his shot today. is this really a drop off from cam newton? all heinicke has to do is throw less than 4 INTs. as i've said many times, i like playing teams in their first game with the backup starting. today is not the best spot for the panthers though, as they put everything they had into trying to beat new orleans last week. so they could really shit the bed today. but atlanta hasn't shown much interest in anything lately. last week they snapped a 5-game losing streak by pummeling arizona. carolina ain't good now, but they ain't arizona.

as far as this total goes, it's high enough to indicate the linesmakers think carolina is going to be able to put some points up against a very average atlanta pass defense.

philly (-2) 2 units. ok, last week was really the time to play the eagles. but maybe foles has sparked this team and they're going to finish strong.

indy (-10) 3 units
over (48.5) 2 units. i'd say the giants have packed it in for the season. if they have anything left, they're going to save it for dallas next week. may only need 10 points or so from ny to go over this total.

seattle (ML) 3 units to win 3.3
over 55 (3 units). early in the season, i was waiting for my opportunity to bet against a very overrated kc team. it finally came, as they have dropped 5 straight ATS. seattle is going to run all over this team today, as the chiefs are dead last in the league, giving up 5.0 yards/rush. seattle, meanwhile, leads the league, averaging 155 yards/game on the ground. the chargers' loss yesterday helps, too, as the chiefs may relax a little, knowing they only need to beat oakland next week to clinch home field in the playoffs.
