UConn (-3.5) over NC St
Big ones for UConn are athletic enough to guard the three point shot of the NC bigs. NC St does not have the size to stay with UConn on the boards. Too many turnovers and sloppy play for the wolfpack will lead to UConn scores. UConn has been playing solid basketball and a scare in the first round should get them ready to play today. Only worry about UConn is they let off the gas if they are in control but shouldn't be a problem after it almost cost them last game.

Vermont (+8) over Mich St
The catamount can shoot the three and they have bigs that move off ball well. Well enough to get penetration and pass when the double comes. The zone of St will not be very effective because the guards of Vermont will launch the three from very deep. Plus the zone they see will not be nearly as tough as the Cuse zone. What the catamounts have to watch out for is sloppy man to man coverage. St can drive the lane well and they have guys that can finish, still 8 is a lot of chalk and Vermont seems to have the hot hand.

Iowa St (+16) over UNC
Too much credit for UNC, they are very good but to spot a team like Iowa St 16 is a bit much IMO. The cyclones will run and gun just like the tarheels. The breakneck pace that UNC plays will not effect Iowa st as much as other teams, however the depth Carolina has will be a factor. they have a ton more talent than Iowa St but they still might come out a little flat after having no challenge in the first round game.

GT (0) over Louisville
Two teams very solid, COIN FLIP but IMO GT is the better team. The jackets have to get out on the 3 point shooters.

Miss st (+8) over Duke
Too many athletic players for Duke to spot this team 8. Delaware st should give the bulldogs (thanks BM) a hint on how to play with Duke. As good as reddick and Randolph are they struggle when teams pull them out and try to penetrate. Duke did a good job of countering that at half but Miss st still has the ability to use their offensive set and be productive. Important to run the blue devil guards and get them tired, the lack of depth will hurt them in the stretch. The bull dogs will have the ability athletically and big men to keep it close.

Cheers

Irish agree with alot of what you are saying. My only concern with UConn is that it looks to easy.Like Iowa State and the points but seems to be a consensus play around here. I do however like LVille, just think they have something to prove with the bad seeding. hould be a hellava game. Like Miss State and the points however they are the Bulldogs and not the Aggies. Good Luck
