Big play for me
NE (-3) over Indy
This play is based on the Denver offense averageing in the teens putting up a big number against the Colts defense. If Denver can do that then I expect Brady to have the same success. The Indy offense is very good but Billichek (sp) has schemed for it before and he knows what to expect. NE defense is a bit slower than I would like to see but I am thinking they have enough at home to get it done on a few possesions. Coming off and emotional win AT denver you get no break but to turn around and go into NE. It should be cold and I look for the NE O-line to open HUGE holes and I think Dillion gets his yards but Mulroney has a very big day. Add into that Watson having a very good year getting open in the middle he will be the drive continue person. Gabriel and Jackson have come on giving NE a solid 4 WR with Brown and Caldwell. The spread look the Pats brought to the table last week is something that will be very productive. I expect Indy to keep drives moving because they have Clark, Harrison and Wayne but they have had them in meetings before. They have a rookie running back that has played well but Dungy will not be using him a lot because even though he is the better running rhodes is the better blocker and he will be neeed for the NE blitz packages. Off an Emotional game, playing in a tough cold stadium against a very good QB, a very good head coach and Indys poor defense is the way for my play.
Balt (-3) over Cincy
Balts defense plays well at home. Fassel gone and Billik taking over the plays gets McNair in a better rythem. They ravens have a good running game and they should be able to establish themselves. Cincy coming off an emotion home loss. Palmer having all his weapons available but they are not happy. Chad wants more balls thrown his way and Rudi just came out last week and hammered last weeks game plan. This seems like a team on the verge of coming together or self destruction. I think the Ravens defense helps them do either. If the Ravens come out and play like they did last week, shutting down the run and playing the pass well they should get Cincy in a tail spin. They could come out flat and that would give cincy the much needed edge to find the switch. Cincy has lost 3 of their last 4, 2 at home and an away game against a bad TB team. They go into Baltimore looking to get a big divisional win.
Bears (-13.5) over Fins
Simple reason here, the Bears defense against turnover maching Joey Harrington. He has never played the bears well while with detroit and I do not see him doing so at chicago against a much better team. The Bears offense should have a lot of plays passing the ball because the Fins are too slow for Moose and BB. Then mix in T. Jones and you have the LB's sucked into the line of scrimage which opens up Desmond Clark over the middle and that will spell points. Bears are very tough at home, they handed SF a can of beating last week and Mia is just around the same level of talent. The bears are the bears only compettion today.
Cheers
