ok some thoughts on these games:
mich st first half -3.5---this is my favorite play today. I know st.louis features a top defense, and will try and make this game real ugly...Their plan is to be reallly physical.. My question is how are you going to out physical a big ten team.. These teams beat each other up all year, and the success they are having in tournament shows why this is the number 1 conference imo. I love mich st first-half---this team they have this year has been focused and ready to play all year... Izzo with great senior leadership in green, have really (besides kentucky) have taken care of buisness. There are no letdowns with this team. I like them to come out and win by 2 baskets first-half----it is possible st.louis sneaks in back door at end of game--this is why i am on them first-half--like kentucky--this team is on a mission--they wont be denied---Love mich st pieces for this final 4 run--they have 3 very different big guys that all bring a diffenerent game--good solid guards that all can knock it down--more importantly they are all on same page---If your looking for dogs today, this is not one of them...Mich st is 4real, and they will do it again--Final play mich st first half-3.5
ohio +3-----this is interesting match-up as you take s.fla a tough big east team known for their tenacious defense----They make it tough to get buckets--But when i watched ohio beat a gritty tough big ten team in michigan, that was all i needed to see. They have several guys that can make shots--and they run pick and roll which makes it tough on opponents---this game will be a war--i dont think either team will win by 3---its going to be close---i do think ohio will win.. They shown they have the toughness to win a game like this. Like their senior leadership and flat out they beat a very good michigan team..fina play ohio +3
flordia st _2----my third pick--this one looks to easy--i been underratinng cinn a lot and they have made me pay---I give the edge to fsu very athletic back-court--yes gates may be the best player on the court, however, fsu has 2 very long and athletic big guys,, can see them making life difficult for him today.. Back-court--imo is pretty even, maybe a slight edge to cinn. cinn has more athleticism in the back-court--and i feel they could challenge shots better than other teams..the x factor will be the 3ball, as fsu can be very streaky, but if they make 35 per from 3 i do thiink they win..And i do think they can shoot that---cinn been winning alot of close games--but i look at fsu vrs cinncy, louisville,and i see them beating both these teams---Winner of this game plays my buckeyes, as i feel fsu will be a tougher match-up for them..i think they present tougher match-ups with their athletic front-court---final play fsu -2
creighton +8.5---------unc is super talented yes, but they have a short rotation, and at times they are so complacent, especially on defense.. I just see creighton as a team that can get buckets and make open shots....mcDermott and barnes played on same high school team, and won a championship...That may help mc d's mindset knowing he can play with that talent...henson may be back, but i feel the lay off and the wrist still will be sore..Wrist is nagging injury that really effect the mind when playing hoops... i like creighton being really close late--and if it comes down to foul shots from unc and creighton playing catch up---i like creightons players ability to get a quick 3 or quick hoop--and i feel unc can miss free-throws more than most teams
nit--iowa--oregon over 154.5-------i do like this play alot--high total only thing that worries me---but these teams will be running--for those of you that have not watched iowa lately, they run,run,run--and shoot 3's---they dont waste time,, they get up the floor...Its like every guys wants to get there points...they also do a great job rebounding--especially on offensive end creating more scoring oppurtunites..Oregon is playing some of the best basketball i seen, would of liked to see them in the ncaa tournament--featuring great guard play in josesph and singlar------they are shooting it great from 3 and they flat out play good together..see this game in high 80's final play oregon iowa game over 154.5
