If only every day were like Saturday, +$1389, winning with Best bet Dodgers $500, San Fran $420 and hitting three team parlay of SF, AZ and Dodgers for $769. Only loss was Colorado.

On to Sunday (hate it when I like nothing but the chalk):

Minnesota Twins $500, -160 Best Bet
Pittsburg $300, -145
Phillies $300, -135
Oakland $300, -150

parlay $100 pays $404

Minnesota -160
Pittsburg -145
Atlanta -120

That's what you get for playing favorites. Win 3 and lose 1 and break even. Minnesota cost me $1304 with Atlanta looking like they're going to win. I would have cashed my second parlay. Damn Twinkies. Oh well, on to Monday. Hope everyone had a good week.

I feel your pain R. Seattle did me the same way in my late action.

I went back over my last 60 days and found 27 three to 5 team parlay misses that died with a single loss. About $10,300 total value amongst all of 'em (my parlay wagers are just 20 to 50 bucks, 50 being a rarity) 15 of those I lost with the heaviest chalk failing, as was the case with Minny for you today. If theres somthing to be learned from this (other than the standard lesson, "don't play parlays") I have not figured out what it is. I've heard some say "don't use your best straight bet on the parlay", perhaps there is some wisdom in that...who knows.:shrug:

Another 4-1 day for you though, I like your posts because you don't post alot of plays, makes me think perhaps you put more time into your selections and more thought into each one.

Thanks for the thoughts. I usually don't play many games straight up. Other than these posts I'm usually a dime player on two games a rarity three. Although my achilles heal is playing three team parlays for $250.

While I know they're bad bets, gives me a way to play those "other" games that look too good to pass up. Generally heavy chalk. I never bet anything higher than -175 straight up. Although, occasionally I'll lay 1 1/2 to get it below -175 which is probably a bad bet but it's worked for me.

Having a great year so far in baseball and hoops. I've really enjoyed this site because of guys like you and others who are really strong cappers. Fun sharing thoughts with fellow gamblers. Keep playing those parlays Avatar....good luck to ya.

hey guys .. mebbe u shud read articles in the section

"Offshore Sportsbooks and Gambling" under Forums.

Read articles on Parlaying especially one on Chalk Parlays.

I lost out on my 4team parlay bcoz i did not bet one of the games ML and my team gave up one run in the 9'th inning to win by only one run and ruin my run line.

Parlay money do eat up into the profits for the day if u have won other games so shud be more careful..
