I am going to do this just to drive BobbyBlueChips out
of his cranium.

These are the games I played this weekend and the units.

I know the games are over and Bobby calls this past posting, but I have a point to this, and if I spent all my time worrying about what BobbyChips thinks I would be one worrisome bastid.

Carolina +7 ...2.5 Units...W
Tenn +6 ........3 units.......W
Eagles -5.5 ....3 Units.......L
Colts +3.5.......5 Units.......W

Tenn Under 34.5 ...,,,,,..1 Unit W
Eagles Under 41.5.........1 Unit W
Carolina Under 44.5 ......1 Unit L
Colts Under .....51.5........1 Unit L

This figures out to 5-3 and shows wager variances.

All of these plays were made with information on my own and information supplied right here at Madjacks from many of you reading this.

I have made money in the NFL playoffs.

It is easier to win this time of year as all teams will give a extra effort for the chance at a 2004 SP ring and the additional 100 K each player gets or whatever it is nowadays. They can go pay cash for a new Hummer. Thats a big incentive for them in my opinion. Plus everything else that goes with winning the Super Bowl.

If you are not doing well in the NFL playoffs you have no business making a big play on the Super Bowl game. There is little time to turn things around now.

The Super Bowl winning team can be identified from the last two playoff games coming up this weekend. I watched all the games closely this weekend. Its a required part to winning wagers in the NFL playoffs.

These four teams hold the keys to victory, and if we listen, the teams will tell us what it is we need to know.

The time to make the play approachs.

The smell of victory is strong.

There is work to do.

Don`t go against your dream now. "It was Payton Manning, but I couldn`t tell who he was throwing to."

Stick with your dream if they win this week.

Good luck,

Colts' safety separates shoulder

January 11, 2004
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Colts safety Idrees Bashir
separated his right shoulder, forcing him from Sunday's AFC playoff game against the Chiefs late in the first half.

Bashir did not return to start the second half. He was replaced by rookie Donald Strickland, who started the last nine games because of injuries to Bashir and Mike Doss.

Bashir was hurt on a play when Kansas City tight end Tony Gonzalez was called for offensive pass interference, negating a 27-yard touchdown pass with 2:17 to go in the half.

Bashir missed seven games this season with a dislocated right shoulder. He returned for the regular-season finale against Houston two weeks ago.

He was the second Indianapolis player to leave Sunday's game with a separated shoulder. Middle linebacker Rob Morris separated his left shoulder on the Chiefs' first series and stayed in for a couple plays before being replaced by rookie free agent Gary Brackett.

Morris returned on the Colts' next series wearing a brace and played the rest of the half.

Tight end Marcus Pollard also limped off the field with what appeared to be an injured right ankle in the closing seconds of the half. He returned for the Colts' first offensive play, then removed himself from the game. Pollard came back on the Colts' next series and caught a 13-yard pass.

"New England coach Bill Belichick knew he had his work cut out for him.

I think this game will be tougher, bigger and obviously there is more riding on it than even the last game,'' he said Sunday. ``At this time of year, every time you win, then the next game gets bigger. And that is where we are.''

Also Sunday, the NFL announced that Patriots linebacker Willie McGinest was added to the Pro Bowl roster -- his second such honor, and his first since New England's Super Bowl season of 1996-97.

McGinest had 79 total tackles and 5 1/2 sacks this season. He was the AFC's defensive player of the week in Week 16 after recording nine tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in a 21-16 victory over the New York Jets.

No play was bigger than his tackle on running back Frank Wycheck for a loss of 10 yards late in the third quarter on Saturday after Tennessee had scored to tie it 14-all and then recovered a fumble near midfield. Wycheck got the ball on a lateral and was trying to pass it when McGinest guessed right and stopped the play in its tracks.

Belichick was not available for comment after Sunday's games, and his players were not made available to reporters a day after the Patriots beat Tennessee 17-14 on Adam Vinatieri's 46-yard field goal with 4:06 left to play. Belichick said there was no point in waiting to discuss his next opponent.

It doesn't make any difference who (the opponent) is. I can tell you right now, it is going to be a very tough team,'' Belichick said. ``To get to this point, we know what a struggle it was for us to get there and it is going to be a struggle for whoever the other team is that gets there. And the fact that they fought through that competition to get to the AFC Championship game, it is going to be a good football team.''

The Patriots were given Monday and Tuesday to recover from a game played in a starting temperature of 4 degrees before it dropped to 2 -- with a wind chill of 11 below -- before it was over. And all that foul-weather gear the Patriots and their fans stocked up on won't go to waste: Weather for the conference title game Sunday is expected to be -- you guessed it -- cold: High of 28 degrees, low of 6, and partly cloudy."

I like the part where NE did not talk to reporters after the game. No chances for cheap shots at Indy getting blown out of proportion as usually happens this time of year.

The thing that worrys me about New England is QB Brady.

This guy is very similar to Manning in that he has a special touch
on his passes. He can zip it in between defenders and loft it over a linebackers head when needed.

Brady is a big play QB with guts.

He has also been in and won a Super Bowl.

It will surprise me if Indy can pull this game out. If they do
they will have beaten the best team in the NFL at this stage
of the season.

No I don't see it yet and it pisses me off.

You know what is strange. It is easier for me to pick the edge out of someone else's information. For some reason that clicks in
easier for me. I know it almost immediately when I see it.

I can't get over the offensive numbers and the defensive numbers in this game. Will NE in the cold step up and stop the Colts offense ? Will they sack Manning ? That offensive line is a good one. Manning sits back there with time and he will kill you.

NE worrys me because they are not a explosive offensive team.
They have played some close games where limited points are scored. I don't like laying the -3.5 under these conditions.

Something just flashed under for the total. I havnt even looked at the total yet. I would guess its 42. I hope its higher.

I really dont want to wager on a total though I want to win the side.

I agree that defense wins championships. And I have seen this so I should already know that.

Can you think of a similiar playoff game in the past that
would mirror this game ? As far as having offensive numbers and defensive numbers like the Colts and NE teams ?

thanks

We are almost there

Scott, A similar match-up was the 1991 Superbowl btw the Giants and Bills. The Bills had just put up 51 and 44 in the two previous games and were beaten by the NYG defense and running game. Not sure that NE has the same ability to control the clock, but Brady is certainly better than Hostetler.

Good Luck

Super Bowl, not revenge, motivating Colts against Patriots
STEVE HERMAN, Jan 14, 2004

The Colts know that with just another yard in November, the AFC championship might have been in Indianapolis instead of New England. When the Colts played the Patriots on Nov. 30, they were unable to score on three tries from the 1-yard line in the closing seconds. On fourth down, Willie McGinest swept around the right side of the Indianapolis line and caught Edgerrin James in the backfield to save the TD.
.....................................................................................

Three trys from the one yard line then tackle in the backfield.
One thing is for sure. NE defense is going to come to play. If
James gets frustrated could hurt Colts.
