Well this should be an entertaining Super Bowl.. The state of WI is coming out of it's drunken stupor. I know a few friends who had the "flu bug" for work and two weeks from now it will be the same thing.. Win or lose...

I have picked the Pack 3 straight weeks and I guess if they are going to win I might as well make money on em.. Now to the Game.

We all by know who both teams have on offense and defense so there is no real reason to break down all the players..

The Pack have have played softer teams to get to the show and the Steelers have played more tough physical teams but they were at home..

Variables... I know Rodgers has looked great at times but the Bears made him look ordinary in the second half... Green Bay will see a defense that is similar to theirs in that they are an attacking smash mouth defense. The Bears defense is solid but it is no Pittsburgh defense.. Interested to see how the Pack O - line adjusts to this team and how Rodgers reacts to the pressure.. I expect very little running game from the Pack but they have been sneaky with their runs..

On the other side of the ball I think Pittsburgh matches up decently against em because they will run right at em.. I feel that is the best way to beat Matthews is to run right at em.. The Pack's d - line is healthy and looking good.

Variables.. I think the X - factor is coaching.. I will take Tomlin over McCarthy any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I think McCarthy gets panicky in close tight games and the defense bails him out and this time I think it will bite them in the ass.

I see the Steelers being a bit more physical than GB, I like the fact that the Steelers have played real physical teams in Balty and the Jets.. Pack 's 3 game road win streak is impressive but I never got the feeling that the teams they played were overly physical. Bears D is physical but O - Line just doesn't have it.. Atlanta and Philly's defense are jokes for super bowl contenders.

Simply I think the NFC is weaker, more soft, and not as good as the AFC.. Give me the more physical team with the better coach and the POINTS..

Typical Viking fan. McCarthy is at least as good as Tomlin. Talk about the Bears making Rodgers look ordinary? How about Ben against the Jets for the whole game (except maybe that last drive to run out the clock). 10-19 for 133 yds??

Packers better offensively and defensively. Special teams is where they may lose this one.

Softer schedule? Their last five have been must wins: NYG, Chi, Phil, Atl, Chi.

Have fun pulling against the Packers.

HELL
After looking at everything, IMO this game comes down to one thing to me and what you believe will happen.....and that is the blitz/pressure....

IF Pittsburgh is able to get hits/sacks on Rodgers they have a great chance to win this game. On flip side, if Pittsburgh cant touch him ala Brady for NE, and get spread out GB wins. Simple as this to me, now I just have to figure out what I think will happen.

Good luck to all....

Typical Viking fan?? Have you read my last 3 threads about the Packers.. Picked em to win all 3.. Has nothing to do with "cheering" against the Pack. Ben ordinary against the Jets yes,but are you saying the Bears D is better than the Jets?? I think Rodgers HAS TO BE GOOD against the Steelers, he can get away with it against Chicago but not against Pitt.

Yes those NFC teams are softer compared to Baltimore and the Jets.. Giants played 10 yards off of every Pack receiver it was like a hot knife through butter, Philly and the Falcons have passing defenses ranked in the bottom 1/3 of the league, name a guy on either of those defenses who scares you, Bears defense is solid but their offense is a joke..

McCarthy is not a very good coach... Green Bay loses more close games than they win.

I could be wrong.. Rogers and co could come out on fire and win but I will edge to the Steelers who have played more physical smash mouth teams..

I will say that playing in Texas does give the Pack an edge because they have a more dynamic offense. Also Dom Capers having 2 weeks to prepare would scare me if I was a Steeler fan.

There was a reason for that. first Packer best olineman left tackle clifton went out of game after the first series and did not return until 2nd half and he wasn't 100% but still better than tj lang. Rodgers took a nasty helmet to helmet hit under his chin first half and was never the same. They aresaying he hurt his shoulder first half. Really the second half Rodgers missed alot of open receivers and his decision making was slow and he seemed mentally not right. Word here especially after suffering 2 concussions this year is he was affected by that hit. Mccarthy also stated he called a different game plan and had to because of clifton going out and the supposed shoulder ijury to Rodgers. How many times do you see Rodgers so off with open receivers? He had cobwebs and was definetely not right. Mccarthy knew this called alot of running plays and put the game in the hands of his defense.

These are the same defenses scheme wise. Both teams go up against it in practice and offenses know how to beat it. Rodgers and Rothlisberger both will have huge days on a fast track. The big difference is last time they played packers had a horrible secondary jared bush was starting. Won't be much running by packers in this one they are going to do what they do best throw early , quickly, and often. Honestlysteelers struggled with ravens and got the jets off a huge emotional win. Jets won their super bowl against pats and that team was not ready to play the first half. What happened to the steelers the 2nd half? Packers dline is the key and I think they have the advantage over steeler oline. I like GB 34-30

Why I love Pitt so much.....if they keep the game close in the second half or have a lead....they win....they will find a way to win and MAKE THE BIG PLAY.

My opinion is only way GB wins is if they start with a 14+ lead early. I do NOT think that will happen with Steeler Defense...not one bit! Even in the unlikely event they did...McCarthys game plan is a joke and will let Steelers back in the game :0074

Pitt gets the W and hosts another Lombardi trophy!

Not like Tomlin put the game away up 24..Dont want to ?? his gameplan in 2nd half??

McCarthy gets too conservative at times and then on 3rd and 1 passes the ball on some gimmic. His play calling in tight games is questionable. know you are a home but my Pack buddies agree.

Remember when the Vikes played in Lambeau? Favre threw 3 third half INT's one for a pick six. Chile should of challenged a Pack Td and Shiancoes was called back an the leaugue apologized and GB still almost lost them game.. D bailed him out.
Philly and Bears both had chances to win or tie because of McCarthy but D bailed him out again.. May bite him in ass this time

I just wanted to say in retrospect the fast track turf in Dallas favors GB.. I had it out of consideration at first but in reflection I can see GB doing well, Pitt must get to Rodgers early and often.

If Pitt does not look like they are getting to Rodgers in the first half then I would definitely take GB in the second half.. So my wager will be on Pitt early but would not be afraid to unload on the Pack for second half pending on what type of rush the Steelers get..

One thing to not forget about this game is that the Packs defense is REALLY GOOD..:0corn
