On the course!
I'll add more as we go, but it's time to start the ball rolling!

Total number of field goals missed by both teams

Over 1 +350

2 Unit Play

I like this play mostly based on Green Bay's Mason Crosby. He's a solid kicker for the most part, but his accuracy wanes a bit of late on the 40+ yarders. Batting 78.6% this season isn't too impressive, in mt book.

In the playoffs, he doinked one off the upright against Atlanta in a game that was already in the bag. The other two playoff games, he never even marched out for a try.

Suisham has done better this year in Pittsburgh, but he misses the long range shots, like Crosby does.

So, we have two defenses that could very easily force each other into situations where they are looking at kicking 40+ yarders a few times on Sunday.

I need ONE stinkin' miss to get my cash back on this wager, and then I pray for one more to get the big dollars home.

This wager has only been a "winner" in 14 SBs, while giving the money back in 16 more.

It's only lost 14 times.

The 'perfect' field condidtions worry me only a little bit, as I think someone will miss one from a distance past 40 yards.

Will Pittsburgh Steelers convert a 4th down

YES +160

1 Unit Play

This goes a little hand in hand with the above play. If they are too far away for Suisham to boot a FG, and they have a 4th and short......I don't think the Packers will be an intimidating force. That 4th an 1 might just be on the goal line!

:popcorn2

Total 3rd down Conversions by Pittsburgh

OVER 5' +110

3 Unit Play

Quite simply: Green Bay is great at holding teams down on the first two plays of a drive, and giving up "3rd and long". They've done it all year, and they REALLY do it if they have a nice lead and play the three man front.

Factor in a QB in Big Ben who is very hard to get down, and this bet is very, very nice!

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
in Superbowl 31, the Pack kicked 2 field goals, the Pats kicked none. no missed FGs in that game.
:hitwithro

Green Bay (Start 8:14 Fourth Quarter)
GB 31 1-10 Bennett run right, no gain (Collins).
GB 31 2-10 Bennett 7 run right (Slade). Green Bay?second time out (6:45).
GB 38 3-3 Favre 2 pass to Freeman right (Clay). New England penalized 16 for unnecessary roughness (Clay).
NE 44 1-10 Levens 7 run left (Henderson).
NE 37 2-3 Bennett 1 run right (Collons, Johnson). New England?first time out (5:32).
NE 36 3-2 Green Bay penalized 5 for false start (Wilkerson).
NE 41 3-7 Levens 7 run left, cutback middle (C. Brown).
NE 34 1-10 Bennett 3 run middle (Johnson, Wheeler). New England?second time out (4:47).
NE 31 2-7 Bennett 1 run middle (Johnson, Wheeler).
NE 30 3-6 Favre pass to Rison left broken up (Smith), incomplete.
NE 30 4-6 Jacke?s 47?yard field?goal attempt was wide right.
New England (Start 3:56 Fourth Quarter)
(New England takes over at spot of field?goal attempt)

- - For the gambler's it kept the -14 spread a push.
- - For the Packers' fanatics who had been waiting 29 years for the Lombardi Trophy to return to Titletown, it kept it a 2 score game and kept the celebration from taking over.
- - I remember the missed FG at the end of that drive like it was last week.

sunofagun.

i remember the 2 field goals that got kicked and made - because the packers then later hit a 2 point conversion.. so the final score looked like no FGs were made.

I've seen 3 different sites with box scores from the game that make no mention of that Chris Jacke miss.

the phantom field goal!

only thing i can find on it -
"The score proved to be the last one of the contest as the defenses of both teams took over for the rest of the game. The Patriots limited the Packers to 3 punts and a missed 47-yard field goal attempt by Jacke"

all the "official" box scores i can find on the game show 2 FGs made and none attempted.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Rich Eisen of NFL Network had a good story on Dan Patrick Show on Monday about NFL and SuperBowl prop bets.

Billy Joel sang the national anthem at Miami in 2007 (Indy vs. Chicago). The Green Room of the NFL Network is used to let the talent chill before their press conferences during Super Bowl week. While in the Green Room, NFL officials were speaking with Billy Joel, and essentially said to him, "If you don't mind, if you are asked about how long the national anthem is going to be, do us a favor, and don't answer that question" (because of the prop bets) . . . Three minutes into the press conference Billy Joel was asked that question, and he gave the answer down to the second.

Total pass receptions made by James Starks

Over 1? pass receptions +110

4 Unit Play

He is far too big of a threat to sit idle, and I really don't see the running game doing much against this Steelers team.

Getting a couple tosses out to him in the flat should be a snap.

Okay YYZ.....I got one for yah that I placed already and thinking about increasing.

Will Steelers score a rushing TD in the game?

Yes -200

Steelers LOVE to run the ball and will try do so in the red zone! With any RB running it in OR Big Ben....I think this looks really good and well worth laying 2 for 1!!

Your thoughts??

I think it's a very good bet, as far as it coming through. I just don't like those odds.

If you can be comfortable laying that, I don't have an issue.

Pittsburgh will be running the ball quite a bit, so it stands to reason that they would be getting close to the endzone via the run. As you said.....if need be, Ben can maybe hop it home.

I've seen far better odds out there on that wager, though.

Thanks for your thoughts! I bet 2 units on it as I feel pretty good about it happening. Wish I had a better odds, but will take it.

Love to tail yah on the 1.5 receptions but my book doesnt offer it....

I did tail you on the over 5.5 on 3rd down conversions! :0074

If by any chance G.B. gets up by 14 as they did against Chicago, Pitt will abandon the running game making that bet very dicey.

Be careful friends.

They could run against all of those teams to an extent.

They will have almost no run against Pitt, IMO.

DJV....I wish you would post more man!! You are legit as they get!

I bet same prop as well as I have had success with this as well.....I think Pitt will hold Pack if they get the ball and Steelers will churn clock.

Glad you are on it as well!! :0074

Donald Driver first pass reception will be

Over 9? yards -105

2 Unit Play

Generally, the Packers make a statement early. When they do, it is often to Donald Driver. I fully expect the first few attempts by Rodgers to be long. (15-20 yard range.)

If they make a short pass, it most likely will not be going to Driver.

I'm banking on the Packers getting this wager home in the first 3 minutes of the game!
