I am currently leaning towards the Seahawks (+3 -115/bovada) to bring home the Lombardi trophy. It is essentially a toss-up between these two teams for me, and in my opinion, nobody has listed a clear reason why either team will prevail; besides of course quarterback play. Therefore, I am going to put more emphasis on props this time around.

I put $50 on the Seahawks (ML, +120) for the following reasons:

Advantages:
Seahawks

• Secondary
• Running Back
• Speed at the skilled positions

Denver

• QB (obviously) ? however if it becomes a snow bowl then this advantage will be reduced, but still in favor of Denver, based on Manning?s ability to mind fuck the defense and his ability to read formations better than ninety-nine percent of the offensive coordinators in the league.
• Defensive line pressure
• Route running
• Experience

let me start of by saying welcome and GL to you man. glad to see more people posting plays and sharing insight....:toast:


now, I am not givin you shit, just curious


you say seahawks ML. Then, you say it is because....

and then proceed to give more of the games "advantages" to the broncos (4-3 in favor of Denver)
-That is also including the #1 most important advantage of any game, especially in today's NFL: QB PLAY


not to mention, what is IMO the 2nd most important advantage in a game do to the above noted importance to QB PLAY: Pressure on the opposing QB...I think this is what decides a lot of games in this league....if you give a good team time on offense...they will win....if you knock em down constantly, they will have a hard time.



I agree that secondary play is clearly in Seattle's favor. Not even really close at all...even if Champ bailey is 100%.....

running game I actually think is close....beast mode is the best back in the game....but peyton controls the game so well, and knowshon has had a probowl and career year and it is because of dominant O-line play, and peyton being able to hand him the ball when the defense is vulnerable to the run....




anyways, with all that said, If you have the most important thing (QB PLAY) and another huge factor (pressure the QB) both in Denver's favor, then why play seattle?

like I said just curious to see if perhaps you weigh certain aspects of the game much differently then me and think that the "speedy" position players and better running game will contribute more into the outcome then the play of the QB or the pressure on the QB....

it pretty close to 50 - 50 right now but i can see it go heavy on broncos but the 2 1/2 points will remain the books will just move the money as in Broncos - 2 1/2 -125 Seahwks + 2 1/2 -105

Vegas will do as always -110 either way
