well i am back for this last game, and reason being i honestly think this game is that easy.i was attending a championship party on sunday, and had a small bet on the pats. watching this game, although the score was alot closer than it should have been w/all the turn-overs. 1 has to think about belichek. i told a few friends,i dont care who the pats play, u are giving belichek not 1 week, but 2 weeks to disect the nfc.

here are my break-downs

new england patriots
have been to the superbowl just a couple yrs ago
have the best coach in the nfl, bar-none
the hottest team in the nfl right now
possibly the best defense in the nfl
no talent, but play as a group
bradys been there, and is proven

carolina panthers
1st trip to the show
made mistakes in ram game that almost cost them
play great defense
young quarterback has done a very good job so-far,
but! is playing against a very good team

my prediction, new england in a blow-out

new england 35
carolina 10

(5x)
new england -6'

this patriots team is one of the best i've seen in years. no they didnt blow out manning and the colts like they should have w/all the turn-overs. but like i said, u give belichek 2 weeks to disect a very young team, the nfc is in trouble i believe this year. as the pats roll

i'll probably do a prop bet i make every year also, margin of victory prop

Jimizeus, please, listen to yourself,no game is that easy.If a person thinks its easy, they need to look especially close at the other side, there may be an angle we've not seen.In your analysis of Carolina there isn't one positive thing that goes against your play except plays great defense and they've won three playoff games in a row. They're doing alot of stuff right and to dismiss them as just "the NFC"would be a mistake.Hogman, you said the Pats were going to score five TDS against Dallas this year too, going over by themselves and as we know they got only 12 and that was the total points for the game.Expect the same surprise here.GL either way

ludes, no game is that easy? what happened to the raiders last year:shrug: guess that was easy enough?
sure anything can happen, but i will put my money on belichek, especially when he has 2 weeks to prepare, gl2u , but by the time game starts i'll be laying more on pats. looking at props till then

pats defense will shut down the panthers one dimentional offense until garbage time when they may pick up a touchdown and the pats offense should move the ball nicely in the air and lay 30 or more on the cats:)

now for the props. these i love. i rememebr i had 100/1200 on baltimore to win between 18-22 points over the giants. was looking sweet late in the 4th until giants fumbled the kick-off,and ravens kicked a field goal. and that was history. also had atlanta to score 1st by field goal 100/400, that was a winner. i love props, might even bet more than i have on the game total?

prop #1
new england to win between 19-24 pts

100 to win 900

as the week goes by i will add a few more

You know I like propositions just as much as the next guy, but what gives here?

If you honestly think that NE has a good enough shot to win by 19-24 points then why not up your bet at the line?

MOV props give the illusion of extreme handicapping while offering accelerated payouts. Personally, I'd be happy *beating the game* itself. Considering this particular game has more action on it than both NFC and AFC Championships and any NFL game played this year - have to ask WHY?

IMO - you should be happy if they win by 7+. If you're betting beer money on a 9x payout - fine. But trying to *peg* the game from a W/L spread of 5 points with one team on an investment scale is bad management. Peroid.

BOL on Sunday.

Jimizeus-I tried to warn you that you were making a huge mistake, but you just wouldn't listen. You argued instead.I had the side in this game game dead on,NE D was little better then average on the road,Carolina wasn't a flash in the pan,and belonged in this game.Had the coach not chased the 2 pt conversion when he did and kicked after every td,we'da had ot and a chance on the ML.You said you were quitting for the year after calling KC-3 the GOY when they lost by 7 to Indy. When I first read this post,I knew your reasoning was classic public thinking, and was just trying to save you some money.Hey,puy up that quote that was in your signature line last year about Bledsoe not having played his best game yet for the Buffalo Bills. That would be funny now!

ed ludes. noone changes my mind on any game. either way im way up after the season. post season was not good for me, but the systems i used were money in the bank. i never used it for the super bowl because it didnt fare well in post season.
so dont come on in here and act like u know it all.

the funny thing about this whole game is:

1) hardly any money came onto this game late, like it normally does. money came in small on pats. i watch this every year, and this year i never seen such a small amount come in

2) so what does that mean? maybe the points were the wtg, as the sharps didnt know what do do?

3) belichek had a 11 point lead w/7 min left? why didnt he change his defense? that i will never understand. this man is a guru and his team lets panthers score w/ease?

4) so now u tell me? maybe the fix was in for the dog and heres why

5) almost all superbowls, the pointspread is never involved

so lets see what we have

money coming in late (small)
belichek not changing defenses w/11 point lead w/7 min left

i would have to say yes panthers were the play, if i waited like i normally do, i may have had panthers myself

good call on ur part, but noone changes my mind
