These odds are such a ripoff. If I had to, then an NFC team because I think almost anyone has a shot in that conference.

Lions, Panthers, Saints, Packers

do you actually think that these 4 teams have a shot to win the superbowl ?

if you do..you better then read up on the nfl so you can improve on the results from last year's contest that you had...

AR,
I think the Pack at 20-1 are better than many ahead of them:shrug: Of course I bleed Green & Gold :00hour

the reason why they are as high as they are is because they will start an unproven qb, who i think will be pretty good once he gets experience.

also was their running attack as good as they showed last year because of quality or because teams were worried about favre ?

love talking about football....:00hour

I won last year's contest ...ssssooooo I think maybe you should read up on last year's contest.

Anything can happen in the NFC. Dallas still might not have the defense to get there, don't think the Giants will repeat. These teams I list have potential to make runs at the right time ....longshots of course, but nice payoffs.

No way the Pack stay at 20-1. Will probably get bet down to 15 or better.

That's why I would HEDGE. You gotta figure the Lions, Saints, Panthers, Packers have somewhat reasonable shots at their divisions - which would guarantee at least 1 home playoff game. You know as well as I that crazy things happen.

AFC seems pretty stable with it's top 3-4 teams. I don't like the odds of many others being able to crack that just yet. ...Bills at 50-1 is kinda interesting, but still they have to get through all strong teams, whereas the NFC longshots could get one good upset in the playoffs and be right there.

Wesis won all the way to the Superbowl. He could have simply bet the same as me in final game and won, but he was an honorable competitor and made it sporting. Basically, we shared the title.

actually it doesn't make sense for me to be in this discussion because i haven't looked at the schedules yet...but i do know that the pats are suppose to be playing the easiest schedule & pitt. is playing the hardest schedule....

The Monday Night Football games at the end of the year don't exactly have me planning on any nights at the bar in November and December. :00x26

Thought they could have come up with better than that in the last two months to close out the year.

i disagree with you chip...

both cleve. & philly may be playing for playoff spots & while i don't think chi.will be in position for a playoff, gb could be...plus a game between 2 black & blue division rivals is always worth watching imo...

but then again i will watch pee-wee football also...:142smilie

Sorry but the Pats are way over valued. Their defense is going to hurt them. The back 7 is OLD & they didnt do much to help it.

The Jags at 10/1 looks pretty good to me.

Dallas is the only team in the NFC worth betting. ;)

the pats got themselves an excellent prospect from tenn. at linebacker..but i tend to agree with you. i don't see them winning the superbowl this year...history also says they won't win it or even make it to the superbowl.

i predicted dallas making it to the superbowl lst year but i can't complain because my giants got there instead....

but a jax.vs.dallas superbowl is not that far out there...

At first glance

San Diego 7-1
Philly 15-1
Saints 22-1

But many moons will pass before judgement

Hmmmm.....

Give me the Jags at 10-1. Easy bet for me to make, Pats won't be near as good as they were last season, Indy is starting to need improvement and has a new head coach. Chargers definitely a force to be reckoned with but they don't always bring their A game. IMO, it could be the Chargers, Pats, Colts, or Jags that comes out to win the AFC crown and I like the odds the best with the Jags.

Cowboys being on Hard Knocks is the kiss of death. Not sure why they decided to jinx their season and be on HBO.

Really like Chargers @ 7-1 odds. I know Norv Turner and Rivers isn't the greatest, but the Chargers have a solid defense and the AFC West looks VERY weak. If San Diego can get home field, watch out! The Chargers gave NE a run in the post season with everyone injured.
