In Kaepernick's college bowl games, his passing numbers dropped off each year. His QB Ratings...2007 year 150.8 - bowl 79.1 /2008 year 132.1 - bowl 129.7/ 2009 year 139.1 - bowl 107.5/ 2010 year 150.5 - bowl 113.4.
The glaring difference is in his running game. Yards per game: 2007 avg 50 - bowl 22 / 2008 avg 70 - bowl 15 / 2009 avg 99 - bowl 23 / 2010 avg 101 - bowl 22. All 4 years his rushing total in his bowl game was WAY OFF his season per game average. My personal opinion is that when a good team (and in bowls he would be facing a good team) has extra time to prepare for his option game, then Kaepernick's can be stopped. If his passing numbers were way off, I would say he is experiencing anxiety of some sort. Maybe a combination? Remember he was only 1-3 in those 4 bowl games.
There has to be a reason that happened EVERY YEAR!! If anyone has a better clue as to why, feel free to share He didn't exactly light it up last week on the ground in the NFC championship game despite a solid passing effort.
