i like the two weeks in between the conference championship and the super bowl. it gave me a much needed bye week:D

playoffs 8-5 (+6.40 units)
season overall 103-67-4 (+40.10 units)

my numbers have this line at ne - 6 and a total of 36. but for the most part i'm throwing those numbers out the window.....it is the super bowl.

looking hard at the first half line, maybe even a first quarter play. trying to find a reason to take carolina...but so far...nothing.

thanks to everyone who has contributed valuable information to this forum throughout the season. i know i've profitted from it.

hope everyone in vegas has a blast at the super bowl party. maybe one of these year's i'll make it out there and meet some of you characters.

good luck to all:)

nfc championship game stats

nfc championship game stats

my reason for posting the above stats...

philly scored 3 points......but...

twice philly threw interceptions inside the red zone. pinkston didn't have a reception as he dropped 7 passes. others dropped passes as well.

was philly outplayed?...sure. did philly show up to play?...no.

eagles did it with smoke and mirrors all season, i even got lost in the smoke for the conf. championship game. way too many injuries throughout the season, losing their best offensive(westbrook) and defensive(emmons) players late in the season.

carolina's 14 points came off a turnover and a pass that should have been defended (dawkins played his worst game of the season, not a single tackle in the conf championship game).

i give the panthers credit for playoff wins against dallas, st louis and philly, but imo they caught teams that weren't very good at that point in the season.

i always look to the dog first, especially a 7 point dog, but right now i only see a patriot's cover, and can't see the panthers scoring more than 10 points.

opening line was 7, knocked down to 6.5. i think linesmakers got what they wanted by putting out a touchdown spread.

looking at...

pats -6.5
pats -3.5 fh
under 18.5 fh

just trying to figure out the best possible play(s).

good luck to all:)

Good points Vanbasten. I agree about Carols. first touchdown against Philly. One defender falls down and the other is running to the back of the end zone. Terrible defending IMO. I think you`re right on the money. Easy cover IMO.

Good luck, Skanoochies.:)
