That is quite repugnant. I'm not saying I agree with him at all, Chuck. In fact, that thread contains pure idiocy.
Over the years, several people on here have infuriated me to great heights or I felt they were total and absolute liars. I wasted time trying to get them on here, and I just find it tiresome now. My point is I think there are multiple posters on here who are on Hedgehog's ass constantly to the point of it being like a mob? :shrug: I mean, how many times and how many threads and posts can there possibly be about Hedgehog? It's like groundhog day on the front page of general every day.
Sometimes, for your own health and well-being, you have to let things go. Personally, I think Hedgehog posts some stupid inflammatory shit that I don't agree with. I just consider the source and I really feel he believes a lot of it, but I also think he does quite a bit of trolling to get under other posters' skins! He's an easy target, and really, he hardly ever fights back.
It's hardly even sporting to try to one-up Hedgehog. I guess that's why I see it as so tiresome now.:shrug: It's almost like having a spelling and grammar competition with RAYMOND or fletcher.
Here's the deal though Hedgie. It is great to have an opinion. We live in a world that is dominated by democracy and luckily we have both democrats and republicans that have both helped and hurt but are still part of the social fabric that is the culture of our country. Try to be respectful of others people's opinions if you want yours to even be considered. Try to maintain compassion for the person next to you, even when their views are different than yours, because it's that interaction that makes up the thread of that social fabric. True greatness is manifested in the protestations and admirations of your actions not your beliefs. Regardless of your beliefs, real people did great things in the face of certain death in Colorado. Those people will be admired for their actions, those that don't aspire to that level human spirit will never understand it and thus never achieve it, so they we always look to deflect or degrade it. Strive for bigger things Hedge. Be bigger than the rundown minmalities of the everyday blase social structure and step out on your own. Be the better man, you never know when the person next to you, whether gay or straight, democrat or republican, will need you to be. I just know that if ever I am in that position, i truly hope that I am great enough that day.
