You don't believe in that either!

I would rather give that money to people in the US and not a 3rd world country:shrug:

I believe everyone should fend for themselves, we only need police, our food protected, borders protected, a very strong military and nothing else. extremely low taxes, everyone pays no matter income level, consumption tax of 10% or so and no income tax...its that simple people...extremely small government

Acts of GOD happen

whatever you do, dont send money to the government, its just a fund raiser for Obama:sadwave:

If you want to give to a private agency/charity, by all means go ahead. there are lots of scams out there and I am telling you the government scam is at the top.

I do believe we should take care of our own first, too many that live in poverty, not nearly as bad as Haiti, but none the less, many are homeless, unemployed and hungry.

Act of God? whose God? NO ! Act of the EARTH ! If you believe it was an act of God, you also step in line with that asshole Pat Roberts and his stupid statement about Satan punishing Haiti !
WHAT A DICK HE IS ! He will get his own private room in the after life with Gay strippers, but then again, that might not bother him ?

I have done many Humanitarian Details in my 15 years in the Army and Haiti was the most depressing 6 months in my life. Two year later Bill had me going to Kosovo, at least there were hot Russian Babes there with us who wanted to get knocked up ! Vasectomy means you never have to say I'm sorry. :toast: :00hour

I think it's really sad when some people come out of the blue with a comment like "we should take care of our own homeless and hungry", when you know that in every other post and position they could not feel more differently than that.

It's kind of like, "I'm not racist BUT..."

And in the same thread, the same person says everyone should take care of themselves, and in other threads, people should get off their lazy asses and get a job.

The TRUTH is, some here couldn't give a lesser shit about people less fortunate (simply LAZY, to them) than themselves, and think they deserve their lot in life.

So, Hedge, are you saying we should take $100 million today, and give it to the hungry and homeless in our country? You're for that?

up and arms... Pist off at Obama because he has offered aid to Haiti..

I bet it deeply does piss off some here but they wouldn't admit to it because it looks so assholish..

I thought you were hitting below the belt and making light of the situation to suggest that anyone on here would not want to help the suffering people of Haiti. Guess I was wrong.

Even if we can't solve chronic poverty or suffering here in the US or in the world we still need to help Haiti now.

One thing humans can always do is to band together in the face of a natural disaster.

Get Haiti through the next weeks with as few deaths as possible, then stop and worry about the money/politics later.

Get it done.

Big Labor got some big love from President Obama and congressional Democrats yesterday after they agreed to exempt union workers from the whopping ?Cadillac tax? on high-cost health-care plans until 2018.
The sweetheart deal, hammered out behind closed doors, will save union employees at least $60 billion over the years involved, while others won't be as lucky -- they'll have to cough up almost $90 billion.
The 40 percent excise tax on what have come to be called "Cadillac" health-care plans would exempt collective-bargaining contracts covering government employees and other union members until Jan. 1 2018.

Here's the facts once again on the character of charity preaching liberals when its their dime.

Gumby's 2002 return--
http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/files/obama_2002_tax_return.pdf

Gave less than 1/2 of 1% to charity--of course he was still paying off those credit cards.

Biden a whooping $195 to chairty
http://www.taxhistory.org/thp/presr...26A6D6852574C2005A342E/$file/J_Biden_1998.pdf

--and common knowledge on Kerry and Gore

"Two America's"-Kerry tax returns (1995 & 1991)have 2 years where he donate """0"""" to charity

Gore 1997- $353

---now on other side of fence we have the greedy conservative as portrayed by drive by media--
GW--heres a few from Goggle ranging from $82,000 to $334,000
1998
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/105283.html

Cheney--how many million and which year you want?????

Ok lets drop down to Sarah Palin have 2 years on her--06 ($4,250) and 07 ($3.325)----
and thats with 4 children and one being special needs.

Hmm more than years reported on Gumby-Biden-Kerry and Gore COMBINED--

Bottom line when you hear a liberal preaching about giving/charity--their generousity stops at your dime. :)

---now all ya liberals kurby off again --till next time :0corn
