This week is not going to be for the faint of heart -- and could see a real shake up in our pools.

Bears off a bye will probably be the popular pick, but do the Lions eventually find a way to win one?

Whoever you go with will leave you sweating it out. The few solid teams I have not used are either on bye or are on the road this week.

Maybe Denver off a bye vs Miami

I still have Philly left and I'm leaning to them, although I really try to avoid road teams, especially one going east to west.

As you said, Chicago is my other lean. Beyond those two, the only other team I could remotely see myself taking is Indy at home against NE.

This will definitely be an interesting week.

Here
Bears.

Easiest pick Ive had in a month.

Mine too! Favre was way too much for my fragile heart.

I just don;t see any other team that is that dominant over their opponent. Yes there is the factor that Det may win one this year, but not this week.....we hope.

I still have the Bills left and will be looking at them. This is a divisional matchup so it's not ideal but I like the fact the Bills lost last week and should be more focused, while the Jets won (very unconvincingly I might add)

I could see a couple of INTs from Favre here. Bills is usually very stingy at home and the Jets certainly has not scared anybody.

I may also consider the Minnesota Vikings. Their D is solid but I don't know if I can trust Gus Frerotte. Houston D scared nobody as well but Schaub and Johnson can hook up for quick scores and I don't know if the Vikes can come from behind.

I am staying away from Denver. This game smells. Why would the Broncos fresh off a bye only a 3 point favorite over the Dolphins who has to travel from East to West ? The Broncos D is a joke as well and Miami has improved as the season progresses.

I hate going for the one that everyone goes for (i.e. Jets last week), but I have to say the Bears at home off a bye vs. Detroit looks pretty damn good. This may be the setup for the letdown of the year in which case I think almost everyone would be out of the pool.

Any other hot ideas?

I remember in 2004 I made it to the last 44 out of 450 entries, and 41 of the 44 (myself included) got bounced when the Bears won on the road against the Giants. For some reason I get a similar feeling about this week. But I just don't see anything else to play since I've already used the Giants and do not trust the Vikings at ALL. Gonna have to think about this one.

And history does repeat itself.

HELL
Da Bears or Jax for me....

Continue to play against Detroit or Cincy. The Buttholes have quit for the year, at least the Lions are still trying I think.

I remember Miami with Harrington at the helm coming into Chicago and blasted the Bears a couple of years ago...that was a 17 dog win outright.

I wouldn't put my money in Kyle Orton's hands.

Is anyone considering the Colts ?

Colts is at home and has revenge on their minds, Addai and Sanders should be back

Indy lost this past Monday so they can't afford to fall further behind. Cassel gets sacked way too often and is turn-over prone. Harrison is OUT for the Pats and the running game may not be able to exploit Colts run D simply because they don't have the personnel.

Good point and I haven't used them yet!

I think I'm going with the Eagles on the road - a road team (which i usually dont like taking). I think w/o Hasslebeck and Branch and having Westbrook back this should be a cakewalk.

I tentatively hit submit!!!!

I tentatively hit submit!!!!

Bears......

I am just very tentative because they beat this same team (actually with WR Williams) at Detroit 34-7 and now they are favored by 12 - 13 at home!!?? I figure it would be 14 - 16'. I am hoping for a 7 point win by DA BEARS.

Good luck everyone!

I did the same. Sent in the Bears, but don't love it.

Figure it's going to be the overwhelming pick this week.
