Suround Sound Help??

I am looking for a suround Sound system for relatively cheap. While I know you get what you pay for I also know that this will be a starter until I can get what I really want. Anybody have or know of a decent system for under a couple of hundred bucks.

....How long will it be before you can get what you want? The reason I ask, is why put $200 towards a "cheapie" system, when you could put that $200 into the receiver....which is where the heart of a good system resides.....just don't want to see you waste your money on a cheapie system...that's all.....

As it is right now it will probably be a year and a half before we buy/build a house. I am currently in an apartment and do not have the setup (living room arrangement) that I want/need. If you or others feel it would just be a waste of money then I guess I can just wait, just wondering if anyone out there had found anything they were pleased with that was not very expinsive.

...If it's going to be a year and a half, I would start building the system that I wanted. By the time you get into your house...you will not only be happy with your new house, you will also have a kick a** system to go along with it!

In my experience, a decent receiver is going to run you anywhere between $350 and $600 (and this is mid-grade stuff)

...just my opinion, but the time frame you have will allow you to build the system you want.

....It took me awhile to build mine...therefore I understand where you are coming from.....but, I would wait....(if you can stand it!)

I would wait till after Christmas and check ebay, probably be a few good deals then.
