last year we had some MJ members make it pretty far into their contets....

hopin someone has some good advice for week 1, as I simply cannot seem to find a game I am comfortable with....

I like

RAVENS over cinci
SAINTS over wash
DETROIT over stlouis

any fans of these teams that think I shuold stay away...

all home favs....figured each follow most of the basic rules

choose a home team
choose a favorite
dont choose divisional game (except balty)

Hey Addict!! Keys to remember for me....home team & not in division like your first post! I have either won or split last two survivor pools I entered.

I would stay away fro Balt ......Houston is the best way to go week #1. I want to see how Balt D plays without Suggs for a few games...and think Cincy D good enough to keep Ravens in check. Cincy can also score some points. :0074

In the one survivor pool Im in I am taking a chance with MINNY.. I don't think they loose and it's the only time I would use them this year.. Could be a short contest for me.

I hope you are joking? The Jags has a pretty under-rated D and Gabbert has looked better than last year, they also have MJD back and more weapons on the receiving corps (Robinson and Blackmon), Minny may indeed win but it won't be an easy contest.

I am also rolling with Houston for Week 1. They are at home and play against a non-divisional opponent. Miami is a mess and Houston also has the biggest moneyline I am seeing on Pinny. That's good enough for me!

Houston likely to get off to a quick start while Dolphins will improve as season goes on. If you don't like Houston, may want to consider Patriots going against Jake Locker ( I know...road Fave). Third choice would be Another road Fave: Philly.

I seem to have pretty good luck with survivor by following these rules.
Absolutely no division games
Don't save any team for later if you like them now
Stay away from your jinx team,we all have one:nono:
week one Houston

Very good advice, especially the part about saving teams. Never understood that, its called survivor pool for a reason...just survive!
