Any thoughts this week.

I thought like in past years a thread devoted to this topic was a great discussion thread.

I think this first week is kinda tough and although I like saving the better teams for later ... I think you almost gotta use one this week.

My leans are:

Philadelphia over St. Louis ... Reid has a bad record in season openers though

NE over KC ... don't want to use them this week

Indy over Chicago

All at home this week and I think they are the only safe plays unless you used the Giants Thursday night.

Currently, planning on using the Eagles this week.

You nailed it, only drawback to the Eagles is Reid's suprisingly poor record in Week 1. Strategically, this is the best week to use them in my opinion.

Good luck.

I would also consider the Steelers, Houston is an improved team but they are playing in Steeltown and CB Dunta Robinson is out i believe.

Pitt has the toughest schedule in the NFL this season, you may as well pick them now and forget them for the rest of the campaign.

I will also consider Indy who has the 2nd toughest schedule in the NFL this year.

As every year, I have a bunch of picks... our pool always has between 500-700 people, $10 an entry. My brother and I put in $50 each, so we have 10 picks.

Looks like a majority of the people are on SD and NE... Philly is not to far behind.

If I only had 1 pick, I would go with Pitt or Philly.

Patriots are a safe play but I am saving them.

I don't trust the Steelers or the Chargers this week as I think both games might be close.

So I went with the EAGLES in week 1.

Good Luck!

Good call. Hopefully a large percentage of your pool was on the Chargers, which knocked out a bunch in my pool already.

Onto next week.

Under a mask.
Took Philly and won, but now I'm wishing I used the Pats. Half my pool took the Pats and now they don't have to worry about using them with Brady out.

You honestly think with Brady out there done?
With all that talent on both sides of ball??

I know there weaker at the QB Position without him,but they still have boatloads of talent at the skilled positions ,no.

You could be right time will tell.
Id worry about you picks before how the Pats will fare without Brady,

GL!!!

I'll take care of my picks.

I'm a long-way away from the self-inflicted "retirement" that you're going through.

Glad you got help for your gambling problem
