Ok guys....going in to today...there were, I think, 19 of us left. 15 people had NYG and 1 had Philly......so that's 16 of the 19 gone. Me and 1 other person had NE.....and 1 person still has Detroit this week. My question is this....

If Chicago wins tomorrow, is it ok to ask the other person I'm head to head with, to split the pot? This is my first survivor pool ever.....call it beginners luck I guess.

Very interested in thoughts.

Definitely. He would be a dick not to split. I always take the offer if it is presented. Its kharma.. you never know how bad the other guy needs the money. Not that is the cas with you.. I notice normally when an offer is presented and not accepted be it in a poker tourney or in something like this, the guy who refuses always loses:toast:

I am in the same situation as you - all but three people took the giants today, leaving myself and two others. one person has the packers tonight. i am going to lob out an email tomorrow to the other two or one (after tonights game) to see what they want to do.
payin was 25
total pot is 1125
i figure if i can make it down to two , thats good enough return to split.
after tipping out, the buy-in and a split - either way its a good return.
i'm sure your ratios are similar.

Amazing how that works, isnt it

I'll admit, if Chicago wins, splitting the pot will get me back to a positive week this week. Had an AWFUL day yesterday in college, so I didn't even make a play today. Sometimes ya just gotta know when to hold em.

In our pool there is a stipulation that there must be a maximum of 3 people remaining before a deal can be made. Every year(5) with the exception of 1 there has been a split.

I'll be honest...when the picks for the week were released, I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the HEAVY majority was on the Giants. That team can fuck up a wet dream.....and today proved it. Philly losing was kind of a bonus. If Chicago can win tomorrow.....which I think they have a good shot at it.....being heads up after 5 weeks is pretty sweet.

It would be fun to start another survivor pool.

I'd guess a lot of pools are nearly done.

Bart!! Totally cool to split if people want to do it, and all have to agree! This is very common in Survivor pools

Wait to see what happens Monday night pal and go from there.....you may not need to send an email as it may be presented to you first!!

GL buddy!! :toast:

Agree with most above. There is a split or some kind of "arrangement" (last two play it out and they split with the winner getting 70% or whatever) almost every year.

A few years ago we started a Survivor Pool II that we start in Week 5 of the season. Since half or more (depending on how many big favorites get upset in the first 4 weeks) of the Survivor I pool is gone by Week 5, we thought this was a good way to do a second chance pool but it was already set up to go in advance.

sorry , I don't split pots, so whatever deals are made need to be made under the table, I can only send to one winner:toast:
