What about Carolina. That is the one game that jumped out at me, of course I look to go against bad teams, instead of looking to play on good teams.

I agree that Carolina is the better team .. just like Indy should spank Tennessee but I think both of these games will be closer than people think and outright upsets would not shock me.

It's mid-week so I'm reviving this thread 1 more time

Week 5 is upon us and i managed to survive thanks to the Ravens

I'm looking at a possible play on the Lions at home and maybe the Broncos

Houston at home is another intriguing choice

Thoughts fellas ?

Broncos in Denver. Can't trust the Lions until they wake up and start giving the rock to Kevin Jones. And as for the Texans, I don't think so.

Current leans ... Colts, Broncos

Others to consider ... Browns, Packers, Texans ... doubt I would want to use any of these teams again so they could be good choices this week.

Also gotta say that for betting purposes ... this card is a b*tch! Toughest card I've seen this year ... few lines higher than 3 and I think most of the games are difficult to pick with or without the line so I am leaning toward playing very light tomorrow. I do like the Colts to put a spanking on the 49ers and cover the big line though.

Fellas, it's hump-day so I thought i'd get this one rolling again

I managed to survive last week with the Colts LOL, couldda, shouldda, wouldda take the Browns, Packers or Lions to save the big guns for later weeks but it's done and done so On to Week 6...

The schedule is getting tougher and tougher, upon early glances, i really like the Chiefs to win S/U against the 'Skins this week

Also on the watchlist is the Falcons and Tampa Bay

I'm a bit reseved on the Seattle...Houston is an absolute stinker this year but desperation and prime time = who knows...Seattle is soft at times, having a big lead and letting teams coming back.

Thoughts and discussions are always welcome and appreciated!

P.S. I can't pick Bengals, Jets, Rams, Ravens and Colts anymore

The stable you have left looks better than mine, as I can't use NE, PHI, IND, BAL or DEN anymore, but I am leaning real hard towards the Chiefs this week. I like them to bounce back at home this week after their meltdown and an extra week to think about it.

Good Luck. :mj14:

we started with about 750 and are under 200....I started with 3 picks and I am down to two.

seattle - but they had a big road win and playing a team that hasn't won... On sunday night. I tried to stay away from team either A) on a long winnng streak, b) going against a long losing streak, c) playing Sunday/Monday night.... unfortunately they fit 2 of these.

Balt - they come back strong after being embarrassed. Cleveland has only beaten Chicago (which led most of the game) and GB (who suck)

KC - 2 road game for Wash (who really hasn't beaten anyone) plus they are coming off a bye week, they should role.

ATL - they looked good against NE with a backup QB. NO is nowhere near the caliber of NE, plus they have no horn and no mcCallister. I said at the beginning of the year, I would go against NO all year. Look at their 2 wins... first game of the year, right after hurricane and first time they played in front of a 'home' crowd after the hurricane.

Chicago - they play well at home, plus dome teams outside suck. Minn is falling apart, they really miss Moss. Chicago has a great defense they should be able to win this game. This team is better than 1-3.

Right now I would rank them in the following order most likely first

KC
Sea
CHi
ATL
Balt

Obviously, I like Indy, but have already used them in both

I like TB too... with or without Cadillac, I think they win. The only thing that scares me is that it is Ricky's first game... he looked good in the pre-season... I think he will light it up like he did before he 'retired' :jerkit:

I managed to survive with the Chiefs so i'm Just bumping this one up for some input fellas

This week could be another rough one like Week 1

Washington at home vs. the West Coast 49ers look solid as does Indy although I don't know if a lot of folks still have Indy left

Another possibility is the Bears at home against the Ravens although this one might be too close for comfort...

Thoughts fellas ?

P.S. I can't pick Bengals, Jets, Rams, Ravens, Colts, and Chiefs anymore

I've used Indy already myself. I want to use Washington, but after two tough ones on the road, they scare me a little bit. I'm a bit stumped this week, but I kinda like Miami......
The Chiefs (whom I used), really should have lost last week.

picked all winners last week, which probably means I am due to pick all losers this week...

This is who I like this week (and why)

Indy.... obvious reasons, but I have already used them

Philly... It has been a long stretch for SD, plus I like to go against teams on the road 2 weeks in a row. Philly coming off a bye, and off a loss, need a win.

Wash... have played 2 straight road games, will be happy to be home against lowely 49ers.

Oakland... they can't lose all of them at home... can they?

Giants... denver coming off 2 nice wins, Gman off a loss.... Look at mannings record at home versus on the road, that should say it all

STL... They are desperate and I actually think if they slow the game down and do some ball control, they will be ok... 2 hard fought loses for NO will have it's effect on them.

right now this is how I like em (no counting Indy)
Wash
Philly
Giants
Oak
STL

also have a lean on Cleveland... detroit is bad and really bad on the road

This is who I have used so far...

Pick 1: Pitt, Philly, INdy, Cincy, Denver, KC
Pick 2: Wash, Indy, STL, Balt, det, chi

I am also leaing Washington at this point since I still have them left. Overall, this week looks touigh as many people have already used Indy. I think the Skins get lots of play this week in Survivor Pools which scares me because I prefer to go against the "public" picks.

I'd consider St. Louis but without Bulger and there other injuries, problems ... I could see them losing to anyone.

Oakland would plrobably be the next team I'd look to although I'd like them a lot better with a healthy Moss.

I would take the Skins.

They really need a win, and the 49ers are like a high school team.

This one will be easy.

Skins it is for me this week fellas

the 49ers notwithstanding, the Skins will face a lot of tough teams in the upcoming weeks and i guess i might as well take it now and forget about it later on!

Good luck to all the survivors and hope to get it going with Week 8 soon!
