I got knocked out in 1 Pool with Arizona (damn Kurt Warner!) but am still alive in the last 2 (took SD and JAX)

Looking at Week 7, i like the following teams, in no particular order

Washington Redskins: Just like Baltimore last week, you have to consider these guys this week. Tim Rattay is starting for AZ, that about sums it up, I like what i have seen from Jason Campbell so far and Redskins is tough at home.

New Orleans Saints: There is a reason why an 1-5 team is a -9.5 favorite.

New York Giants: SF is going to the East Coast in the early time slot. Unsettling situation for 49ers at QB and WRs

Cincinnati Bengals: Surprise to see a relatively low spread -6 at home for the Tabbies. Maybe time for Pennington to hang it up as well.

I don't have NE, Dallas, Seattle available anymore

Your thoughts on Week 7 ?

I've used up Pitt, NE, Dallas, SD, Jax & TB.

I am thinking about take the NYG this week, but I hate taking teams on short weeks even @ home, plus would love to save them for next week vs Mia.

Washington looks good, but something just doesnt feel right there. I can Zona D causing some issues for Campbell.

No way do I trust the Saints vs Atl. They always have some crazy games.

Seattle?? Bulger back scares me & they too play some wild ones.

Baltimore maybe, I cant see Buff doing much vs that D, but McCallister is going to be out & they are playing a back up QB....

I think for me it is between Wash & Balt....going to take a chance & try & save NYG for next week.

3 seconds, I would be hesitant to take Baltimore in Buffalo

You have seen what the Bills did to the Cowboys, you have to ask yourself whether the Ravens has that kind of offense to mount a comeback if it does indeed fall behind.

One of my rules in this kind of survivor Pools is to never take a road team. Frankly, I would rather look at Cincy at home against the Jets in an intra-conference game than Balt, plus if you want to *save* teams, Baltimore against Cleveland at home in Week 11 might look enticing

Just my $0.02

Agree with canabiz....I never take road teams, it is very difficult to win on the road. Throw in the fact that Kyle Boller is playing. He couldn't score at home against a bad STL team and if I remember correctly he couldn't score from the 1yd line against Cincy.

May go with the Giants. If you don't take them this week, there is no other real good week to take them, unless you take them on the road and I don't like doing that in these pools...

This is the first week in awhile I am somwwhat struggling to make my pick.

Used so far:
Pool #1: Houston, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Dallas, Tennessee, Baltimore

Pool #2: Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Dallas, Tennessee, Baltimore

Considerations this week are:

Washington over Arizona
New Orleans over Atlanta
NY Giants over SF
Cincy over NY Jets
Seattle over St. Louis

All of these teams are home and like many of you have mentioned, I agree with trying not to take away teams as most upsets happen on the road.

Washington seems safe as long as Warner DNP
New Orleans ... I think they are going to turn things around but they always seem to play wacky games with Atlanta
I still don't think the G-Men are that good but they should win this one at home against an offense-less 49er team.
Cincy scares me because they jusy plain suck considering the talent they have but this could be the only week to consider them.
Seattle should win this game but they are banged up and like the Saints/Falcos usually play close high scoring crazy offensive gmes.

Right now I am leaning Wash or NY Giants but I would like to use Cincy.

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

Fairly quiet week, I don't think too many entries were eliminated, most of the big faves got through.

For Week 8 I am looking at the following:

San Diego: Houston is clearly missing Andre Johnson. Chargers has the fires as distractions though

Chicago: I like Griese much better than Rexy. Lions just too one-dimensional

Tennessee: Oakland playing the early time slot on east Coast.

Your thoughts for Week 8 ?

This looks like the toughest week so far as no one jumps out at me. I am leaning towards Chicago right now. But open to suggestions.

Giants look good with Ronnie Brownless Dolphins, only drawback is the venue, but they're the biggest fav I have left. If i don't go with them I'll go with da Bears

Had some free time so took a look ahead. I have used Seattle, Denver, Baltimore, Dallas, NE, SD, Wash

8 - NYG
9 - Pitt (hate MNF games in survivor)
10 - Car
11 - Philly
12 - Jax or Indy
13 - Tenn
14 - Buff or GB
15 - TB
16 - Jax or Indy (whichever not used in wk 12)
17 - Chi

Anyone else looking ahead and mapping out their strategy?

Well so much for parity folks, there has been some rumblings among the sharp players that this is deja vu all over again, circa NFL 2005 season where all the favorites won...

The good news is I managed to survive for another week and the bad news is so did everyone else. The field in my 2 pools are still wide open

Anyhow, for Week 9 I am looking at the following teams

Tampa Bay: Arizona (1-3 SU) is poor on the road and Tampa should put in a better effort after losing to Jacksonville

Cleveland: Can't believe it but i might have to look at these Brownies, they are solid at home and Seattle is just a soft team, especially away from its home turf.

Pittsburgh: I still have the Steelers to pick in 1 pool but I don't like prime-time games, a divisional matchup to boot

Your thoughts on this decidedly tough Week 9 ?

Week 10

Week 10

I managed to survive for another week, picking Washington and Pittsburgh (thanks to munson15 who helped me make up my mind)

We lost a bunch in both pools with San Diego (major culprit again!)

For week 10 I am looking at the following teams:

Kansas City: The Chiefs is not a team I'd like to pin my survivor hope on but they are pretty decent at home and the Broncos is reeling.

New Orleans: I figure everyone will be on the Saints. The Rams is my team but they are just plain horrible, not sure if they have any extra motivation after the bye week.

Baltimore: Short week for this over-rated squad but against the Bengals, we may not have much of a choice.

Your thoughts on another tough week ? With a lot of divisional matchups.
