Since I do not think many, if any, have a pool play on the Saints or Vikes tonight, figured I'd start the thread a day early.

Skins stick out as the obvious spot, but they are coming off two monster wins and now face a team that is desperate, with a new coach, off a bye.

I just don't trust the Jets in this spot, vs probably the most talented 0-5 team I've ever seen.

Actually like the Chargers and might consider a wager on them, but do not think going against New England is a solid strategy either.

Post up your thoughts.

I isolated 6 teams this morning that made my initial list. Indy, Minn, NO, Jets, Skins, Denver.

I don't think i can go with minn unless i see something new from them tonight. I won't take the redskins off 2 tough divisional games on the road and come home to play an 0-5 team. Denver still scares me at 4-1 and you have to think Del Rio will turn this team around, that game will probably be closer than it should be.

I like Indy in this spot but obviously its not the best time to play on the colts against a good balt team.

That leaves me with the jets and saints.

I really want to take the jets but i have a tough time taking a bad team to beat a terrible team even though its a solid play at home.

I'll wait and see how the saints look tonight but i think they're a good matchup at home vs the raiders.

Right now leaning towards jets or saints.

New Orleans
Wk 1 Phil
Wk 2 Tampa
Wk 3 San Diego ( almost went with Denver)
Wk 4 New Orleans
Wk 5 Carolina (Also considered Dallas heavily)
Wk 6 Looking at Vikes, but waiting for tonight's result.

Would like to go w/ the Saints pending tonight's result, but used 'em a couple of weeks ago vs. SF. Looks like slim pickings this week. I'll be lucky to survive.......

What about the Giants? Maybe you have used them....

I just don't trust the Skins in this situation. They did a great job the past two weeks and what do have to play for?

Also, food for thought, I am in a pool with a start of over 1550 peeps. What I do is see what team everyone picks and I play the opponent of the top 3 team picked. It has been very profitable....

So far this season I have taken:
Phi
TB
Buf
Jac
Dal

It is killing me this week.... a lot of short lines this week....

Made it through with Denver. Glad to use them as I don't think they are very good.

Washington, NO and Minnesota are the three I'm looking at. Gotta say I'm leaning Skins.

Minnesota, I think 11 of us here might be able to compete against Detroit.

Still early but I am also looking at the Seahawks for a non-divisional matchup

Non-divisional home favorite is 15-3 through 5 weeks so far. Green Bay is hurting all over and Seattle is dominant at home.

But I am still leaning towards the Saints. West Coast teams are now 0-6 at the early time slot 1 p.m. EST on the East Coast.

I was "this close" to using NO in wk 4 (went with Pitt on the Mon night), but still have them in my pocket....

I'm looking at these 2 for this week:

NO, Indy

I don't like the spot Washington is in, and I'm not sold on Minnesota, but then again, Detroit might be "that bad". I also looked at Seattle, but don't like the fact that they have to travel back across the country after that ass whoopin'.

I really want to play Indy - tough going against the #1 D, but Baltimore has trouble moving the ball, and last week's implosion by the Texans could very easily wake these Colts up.

Started to give the Jets a look but think Week 8 vs KC is much better spot.

My decision is down to NO or Wash. Wash just reeks of an upset in my opinion, winless team off a bye vs a team who just had two monster road wins.

Saints might have to be the play.

Good luck.

I'm down to Wash, Saints, and the Jets.

I'm wondering if No can forget Mondays game and come away with a win?

That's the million dollar question. I guess at this point every team will have reasons to stay away, which is what makes it so difficult.

Love that Oakland is coming cross country again though.

At this stage, I am staying away from winless teams looking for their first win. The NFL is notorious for its parity and as the saying goes...on any given Sunday, a blocked punt here, an INT there and you could be DOA.

I am taking the Rams, Bengals, and Lions off my list for that reason.

Definate letdown spot for my Skins, however, if they lose these games to shitty teams, it will defeat ALL that they accomplished so far.
You just can't screw up beating the Saints, Dallas on the road, and Philadelphia ON THE ROAD by losing to these shit teams.
Stay FOCUSED SKINS :bigun:

That's exactly what I have down too ;)

NO was the "plan"...but I now have no problems at all taking Minni this week.

Either one...:toast:

[Opposite side of 3 secs...but I think Tampa are pretty good things this week too...'cept I've already used 'em.]

I like New Orleans, but I am scared rhat Oakland's QB Russell will want to show the homies from LSU something.
I think Minnesota is the pick this week. Petersen should have a monster game after his poor MNF performance.
