not sure why, but starting to become nervous about tampa....

maybe greenbay is the safe pick

take greenbay, then root for indy cause im sure tons and tons of people are going to be on tampa....

i could see this being the week where everyone drops cause of indy winning....

I certainly can't say for all the pools but for one that I monitor carefully (local, $200/entry and has been running for the past 15 years, picks have to be in on Friday p.m. so you know these guys are not messing around), the numbers are as follows

In order of most popular

64.5% on Green Bay
17% on New Orleans
7.7% on Tampa Bay
4.8% on San Diego
2% on Philly
1.3% on Atlanta
1.1% on Chicago

A few stragglers on Detroit, New England, Buffalo and Baltimore to round out the numbers.

Not saying these guys are smarter than us or anything and certainly anything can happen on any given Sunday. All I am saying is they probably have done their homework, considering the entry fee and the fact they have to submit their pick by Friday p.m.

Good luck with whatever decisions you choose, fellas and surviving we shall!

The pool I am in is small but only 40 or so left out of 100....and MOST are on GB this week....me and only one other guy on Tampa. IF GB looses....only about 8 will be left!

I kept Tampa and sticking to it!! No issues with Tampa under the lights on MNF at home...this QB will make TONS of mistakes and no way IND runs well in this game. D will force turnovers and no problems winning IMO

If I loose...I loose, but I like my chances and this this is a perfect spot for TB!!

GL on what you guys decide or have decided.....

I wouldn't touch a Monday night game....The game brings alot of emotion and hype....anything can happen......If you havent taken Green Bay....go with them.......

Completely agree. There are 3 simple rules..
1) don't take a road team
2) don't take a team playing in the same division
3) don't take national TV games

I am surprised there has been no talk on philly. Even without Vick the hung around with NYG. SF traveling across country for a 1pm game and Gore may not even play.

I am in a pool with 3 buddies. we each take a different pick, this week we are going with
GB, SD and Philly.

The fact that most pools and most people have GB and TB, should tell you to stay away from them.

Look back at your pool's history, seems each week 1 of the top 3 teams lose. Our pool gets about 1000 entries a year. last year 3 people made it, they year before 2, they years before that 5.

Picking the tops teams each week is only going to get you burned.

SNOOZER.....

SF STAYED IN EAST COAST ALL WEEK FYI....no traveling involved!! :0corn

I agree with taking home teams and non divisional...couldn't disagree about MNF....doesn't mean SQUAT!!

FYI...only two people took Tampa in my pool out of 40 left....maybe I am on wrong side...maybe not....but I like my chances

I singled out TBY for Week 4 heading into the Colts match-up with the Steelers last Sunday night, and have no reservations about it whatsoever as the game draws nearer. TBY gonna be up for its first Mon night national spotlight game since getting thumped by Carolina in '08. Don't second guess it bro, Bucs methodical grind it out style and in yo face defense will be way too much for Painter and the Colts to contend with.

Books gonna be huge Indy + Over fans this week, but they got paid in both prime time games last week and will give some back come the 3rd...

teams i have used.
week 1- houston
week 2- pitt
week 3- sandiego

I almost used Detroit last week but sided with San Diego at home... a little too close.

I like Green Bay. I've watched too many Tampa Games to use them this week. Painter looked good once he settled down. I think he may do alright against Tampa.

42 guys on Tampa tonight. Could be a huge knock out of 25% of the survivors...
