In one sweep of the pen, the President and his fellow Democrats have created the largest redistribution of wealth in American history..

Monday, Presidents Day, Barack Obama will sign the greatest redistribution of wealth from the private sector to the Federal Government..

It is really unfortunate that Barack Obama has reneged on almost every campaign promise and will create a Nanny State/Socialism, that can't even be measured by European standards..

When the slobbering liberal media was foaming at the mouth during the campaign, they made Barack Obama into a figure that has only been matched when Moses came off the mountain..Much of this was based on Obama's great oratorical skills and even I can acknowledge that, he is a gifted speaker and that is it.

We still don't know this man, or who he is..The liberal media did an excellent job not going into his past and question some of his so called judgment...His great win was based simply on his ability to communicate with a message of reforming the way Washington works and the hate mongering of George Bush, with a populous message of change, which attracted a large portion of the electorate, that feels they are entitled and wants the government to intervene in all aspects of their lives.

The liberal Media did the country a disservice by anointing without real investigation..The campaign, as well run as it was, was able to put Obama in a cocoon and only gave us what we wanted to hear and the liberal media obliged..What is really troubling now, is how the liberal media will always skirt around the real truth or any event that may be unpopular or a mistake made with this administration..Unlike, with the Bush administration, the liberal media was all to eager to present lies and falsehoods and even as with the New York Times, should be held to account, on Treason. You will never see this now..

One area that the liberal press hasn't mentioned, is the moving the 2010 censes from the Commerce Department to the White House..Can you imagine if Bush took over the censes and moved it to the White House...Liberals would be in a tizzy...

Americans will never get the real story as long as they continue to allow the liberal media to gave their version of this new administration.

His campaign promise, was ethics..Barack Obama was going to reform in a way as he has mentioned repeatedly, that NO lobbyists will be in his administration and he even signed a ethics bill to address this..Within 24 hours, Obama allowed exceptions to his own rule..Then he promised absolute transparency...Even that was broken, when he preached that Americans would have 48 hours to view the stimulus package..

Barack Obama, sold the American people that he has excellent Judgment skills and already in office, less than 60 days, his tenure at best, is a dismal performance so far..He pushed Geithner, to head the Treasury. Telling the country he needs a man with his credentials to fix the Financial crisis, even though this individual cheated on his taxes, for which he tried to blame on not understanding of Turbo Tax..This guy was on capital hill last week to explain his plan on curbing this financial crisis, and was totally inept and unprofessional..That day, Wall Street tanked almost 500 points..Incredible!!

The stimulus package is a good example of his lack of Bipartisanship and Judgment..He allowed Speaker Pelosi and her Democratic friends and their lobbyist to write this bill..This Hog trough is nothing more than a spending bill that includes everything the Democrats have wanted in the last 40 years, from Rat control to the prevention of sexually transmitted deceases..A large portion of this part is attached to prevention, meaning the distribution of Condoms..Can you imagine the price per condom..This bill puts it at $25,000 each..Wow!! That certainly is stimulating to say the least and will not create 6 jobs, or maybe, since condom production will be increased.lol

Barack Obama had to take his stimulus package to the folks last week..His only gift is speech making, not leading as we have seen with his numerous appointments that turned with dismal results. When he took to the road in Town hall settings and allowed the friendly partisan crowd to ask questions, you can't believe the type of questions or demands made by some..I understand there are many that have come to hardtimes, I'm not immune to this, but I picked up my own ass and did something about it..Some of these folks asked when the president would give them a home and another gentleman ask for a job, even implying his current job wasn't to his satisfaction..In the background, there was a person shouting, when will you put gas in my car..This is called entitlement and the road to Socialism.

Monday evening when Barack Obama held a news Conference, he criticized the folks who were against this bill, when he brought up the NEW deal during the depression and reminded us that his plan is in the similar vain..History tells a different story and was sort of misleading on his part..FDR's approach to get out of the depression was a complete failure that resulted in higher taxes of 60% on income up to $25,000 and over this amount, rated at 100%..Corporate taxes went through the roof and compounded the problem and his spending at that time was 2% of GDP..Current spending package is 5% of GDP and my guess before it's all over, will reach 8% or higher..What got us out of the great depression was the start of WW II, when corporate American went into production for the war effort and our boys went off to war and the women flocked to the factories to pickup the cause..This is what got us pass that event, not ridiculous spending that history has shown will only be to the demise of Capitalism and a Socialist agenda.

Japan, in the 90's went into a spending spree like we are doing now and Japan spent the next 10 years plus with high inflation and high unemployment..Their currency, the Yen, floundered in the gutter for years..It seems the liberals can't seem to take into account the history and now appears we are about to repeat it..

No doubt these are tough times and having the liberals roughshod this bill through without constructive dialog, will only pass on to the next generation a HUGE bill..Democrats keep saying, like some of us are totally stupid, that this is temporary spending bill...Have you ever heard such nonsense..This spending and Ear Marks, Pork and other misleading names is here to stay..Don't be fooled, the government never cuts spending, once it is in law, it stays there..We are still funding the Spanish American war through a telephone tax instituted in 1898 and other similar ridiculous out dated issues..

The state of Michigan, once a great Manufacturing base with a solid middle class, stands at a unemployment rate over 10% and Manufacturing has bolted into more friendly environments that are not beholding to the Unions..Michigan is a Union stronghold and a Democratic control body..Their leaders have been complaining that jobs are lost and the exodus of Manufacturing is unfair and more needs to be done..Yes, more needs to be done, but first look at your internals and get rid of your incompetent liberal leaders..Michigan raised corporate taxes and continuous to Cow Town to Union demands..Unions do not create jobs, lets make that perfectly clear..Most Manufacturing like Steel, Textiles and now the Auto Industry were part of the great industrial revolution, that made America strong, was single handily destroyed by the Unions..Thus, they went to more friendly Countries and States that have the "Right to Work Law".

California, with Sacramento as their seat, is totally run by Democrats and Republicans have only a token representation..The state just surpassed Mass. as the highest in income taxes..California, with the Dems in control, can't even budget and currently runs a deficit into the billions, while crying to Washington, to bail them out. They are not friendly to corporations and social engineering is well on it's way at the peril of their citizens..They continue to placate to illegal's and force car makers to stringent gasoline additives of which there are dozens of different blends..They didn't want a Natural Gas refinery which could add billions to the tax base, so the company went just below the border and pipes it in at a much higher rate..These same Leaders, are always bitching about how high energy costs are and can't seem to see beyond their own ignorance.

Just run down the many states that are run by Democrats and yes, some Republican held states, but mostly it's the liberal ideology that allows for this mismanagement and huge deficit and very high taxes that cater to special interest groups, like the environmentalist and it will continue..And you wonder why we are in dire straights..Amazing, isn't it. Democrats have a skewed sense on how to get us out of deficit spending, by spending more and you wonder why the hell you're paying so much in taxes..

The deficit before Obama took office was around 1$ Trillion dollars..Yes he inherited a Trillion, but he is being very disingenuous in blaming Bush and now with his spending bill, added another Trillion..We are now at 2$ Trillion today and more is expected..Before this is all said and done, Obama will have increased the deficit to 9$ Trillion dollars, including interest and other factors in the next two years. Yeah, go ahead and blame Bush for that to..

Well you have two years to see how much your vote has helped with this liberal/Democratic controlling body of the 3 branches of government and I can assure you, you will not like the outcome..I'm not talking about the entitlement class, they have already liken themselves for the next great payoff, without contributing other than their simple minded, give me attitude..

Remember what JFK said at his inauguration, "It's not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".. It seems liberal ideology has taken the way of the Europeans and totally ignored one of their great leaders. Shameless!!

The Republican's made the right choice by not voting for this spending bill..They stood on principle, something that the Democrats seem to have a difficult time doing or understanding...Democrats have never taken the Moral high ground, it's not in their ideology..

The economy will turn-around, it always does..The is a hiccup in the total scheme of things and the real area that needed to be addressed, is the financial sector and the release or easing of credit, not this land grab and a total reinvention from Capitalism to Socialism..

Watch for hyper-inflation and move into Gold and Precious Metal and Coins..Cash is good, but in the next 12 - 18 months, buy a wheelbarrow to carry your dollar bills when you go shopping for your next loaf of bread.

This is absolutely an abomination and your vote is to your detriment or advantage, depending on where you stood on this issue..

Have a good day

Excellent write up Equity -- pure brilliance. Unfortunately, there are too many fools who have absolutely no historical reference nor any understanding of the effects of measures such as this. And the fools outnumber those who have some semblence of reason, knowledge, and education.

Additionally, it has become impossible to even reason with these fools, as they cannot get themselves out of trances. Trances that we have seen throughout history when the people attract to charisma regardless of what these charismatic person actually says or does.

You people have 1 foot in the grave, and look at things in a negative way.Isnt it any wounder that more than half the world self medicate.

Why cant people and partys for that matter just give it a chance. It cant get any worse ,ok much worse than the road were on now.
I will say this much.If his plan(s) work I will be the first one to let you fools know.

If it doesnt work??No need to remind you fools .

Thru this whole ordeal everyone has been effected.Mass. hasnt been hit nearly as hard as most other states. What im trying to say is that Mass. has done things to soften the blow.

If paying more taxes helped ,then I have no complaints.

Your right they dont, just as liberal idgets didnt want anything bush did the last 8 years to work. The problem is not what Neocon and Liberal idgits think, it is the amount of coverage they get for their relatively small position in politics while moderates on both sides get shut out. What the hell does anyone expect when the inmates are running the prison.

During W tenure the biggest complaint was to much Iraq and nothing else.I supported his stance on Iraq and terrorism in general. In fact when you look back I think he succeeded.

HOWEVER this country suffered as a whole cause of this.By the time W era was winding down this country was slipping into moderate recession.

Theres no denying the fact that the spending on Irag and terrorism hurt the worlds economy.
Could things of been spread out better (MONEY)during W tenure I would think so,but it wasnt.

Now having said all this the economy became a #1 issue at the end of W tenure/O start of his administration. So he trys to get something done, but no one works with him to achieve that goal.W had alot of help during his tenure esp. with Irag, and now we need help with the economy and its like pulling teeth.

Thats whats wrong with this country.

Excellent write up. I really enjoyed the economic perspective of it as it hit the nail on the head, past, present, and future. This coming from someone who has a BA and MBA in Economics. I hope some on the other side take the time to read it. I've seen a reply already that is immature and has no basis. It's unfortunate that some people lack logic and can't think for themselves.

Areas of the bill.

Areas of the bill.

How the economic stimulus plan could affect you

Heres the Bill.I read your post Trader. Its a anti-liberal post, that blames the liberals for almost everything. It also spreads lies.WW2 might of helped back then, but Iraq is killing us now.
Contraseptives are not what were talking about here lets tell the truth.

People are not gettn free houses, different jobs of choice ,or free gas thats an allusion.
Yes there are low-income people gettn help.
Some of it is justified, and yes some of it does seem a bit much.

But welfare and foot stamps are not a liberal problem its a country problem thats been around for years. Some of it is needed just ask people who work for Wal-Mart.

I support IU benefits 100 percent as they can only claim of of there earnings of there employment. In other words if you dont work, you dont get the benefits.

I try to look at things from both fences.
How can your article be taken seriously were all it leads to is a total blame on the liberals and only the liberals. And we know thats just not true.

___

Taxes:

The recovery package has tax breaks for families that send a child to college, purchase a new car, buy a first home or make the ones they own more energy efficient.

Millions of workers can expect to see about $13 extra in their weekly paychecks, starting around June, from a new $400 tax credit to be doled out through the rest of the year. Couples would get up to $800. In 2010, the credit would be about $7.70 a week, if it is spread over the entire year.

The $1,000 child tax credit would be extended to more low-income families that don't make enough money to pay income taxes, and poor families with three or more children will get an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit.

Middle-income and wealthy taxpayers will be spared from paying the Alternative Minimum Tax, which was designed 40 years ago to make sure wealthy taxpayers pay at least some tax, but was never indexed for inflation. Congress fixes it each year, usually in the fall.

First-time homebuyers who purchase their homes before Dec. 1 would be eligible for an $8,000 tax credit, and people who buy new cars before the end of the year can write off the sales taxes.

Homeowners who add energy-efficient windows, furnaces and air conditioners can get a tax credit to cover 30 percent of the costs, up to a total of $1,500. College students ? or their parents ? are eligible for tax credits of up to $2,500 to help pay tuition and related expenses in 2009 and 2010.

Those receiving unemployment benefits this year wouldn't pay any federal income taxes on the first $2,400 they receive.

___

Health insurance:

Many workers who lose their health insurance when they lose their jobs will find it cheaper to keep that coverage while they look for work.

Right now, most people working for medium and large employers can continue their coverage for 18 months under the COBRA program when they lose their job. It's expensive, often over $1,000 a month, because they pay the share of premiums once covered by their employer as well as their own share from the old group plan.

Under the stimulus package, the government will pick up 65 percent of the total cost of that premium for the first nine months.

Lawmakers initially proposed to help workers from small companies, too, who don't generally qualify for COBRA coverage. But that fell through. The idea was to have Washington pay to extend Medicaid to them.

COBRA applies to group plans at companies employing at least 20 people. The subsidies will be offered to those who lost their jobs from Sept. 1 to the end of this year.

Those who were put out of work after September but didn't elect to have COBRA coverage at the time will have 60 days to sign up.

The plan offers $87 billion to help states administer Medicaid. That could slow or reverse some of the steps states have taken to cut the program.

___

Infrastructure:

Highways repaved for the first time in decades. Century-old waterlines dug up and replaced with new pipes. Aging bridges, stressed under the weight of today's SUVs, reinforced with fresh steel and concrete.

But the $90 billion is a mere down payment on what's needed to repair and improve the country's physical backbone. And not all economists agree it's an effective way to add jobs in the long term, or stimulate the economy.

___

Energy:

Homeowners looking to save energy, makers of solar panels and wind turbines and companies hoping to bring the electric grid into the computer age all stand to reap major benefits.

The package contains more than $42 billion in energy-related investments from tax credits to homeowners to loan guarantees for renewable energy projects and direct government grants for makers of wind turbines and next-generation batteries.

There's a 30 percent tax credit of up to $1,500 for the purchase of a highly efficient residential air conditioners, heat pumps or furnaces. The credit also can be used by homeowners to replace leaky windows or put more insulation into the attic. About $300 million would go for rebates to get people to buy efficient appliances.

The package includes $20 billion aimed at "green" jobs to make wind turbines, solar panels and improve energy efficiency in schools and federal buildings. It includes $6 billion in loan guarantees for renewable energy projects as well as tax breaks or direct grants covering 30 percent of wind and solar energy investments. Another $5 billion is marked to help low-income homeowners make energy improvements.

About $11 billion goes to modernize and expand the nation's electric power grid and $2 billion to spur research into batteries for future electric cars.

___

Schools:

A main goal of education spending in the stimulus bill is to help keep teachers on the job.

Nearly 600,000 jobs in elementary and secondary schools could be eliminated by state budget cuts over the next three years, according to a study released this past week by the University of Washington. Fewer teachers means higher class sizes, something that districts are scrambling to prevent.

The stimulus sets up a $54 billion fund to help prevent or restore state budget cuts, of which $39 billion must go toward kindergarten through 12th grade and higher education. In addition, about $8 billion of the fund could be used for other priorities, including modernization and renovation of schools and colleges, though how much is unclear, because Congress decided not to specify a dollar figure.

The Education Department will distribute the money as quickly as it can over the next couple of years.

And it adds $25 billion extra to No Child Left Behind and special education programs, which help pay teacher salaries, among other things.

This money may go out much more slowly; states have five years to spend the dollars, and they have a history of spending them slowly. In fact, states don't spend all the money; they return nearly $100 million to the federal treasury every year.

The stimulus bill also includes more than $4 billion for the Head Start and Early Head Start early education programs and for child care programs.

___

National debt:

One thing about the president's $790 billion stimulus package is certain: It will jack up the federal debt.

Whether or not it succeeds in producing jobs and taming the recession, tomorrow's taxpayers will end up footing the bill.

Forecasters expect the 2009 deficit ? for the budget year that began last Oct 1 ? to hit $1.6 trillion including new stimulus and bank-bailout spending. That's about three times last year's shortfall.

The torrents of red ink are being fed by rising federal spending and falling tax revenues from hard-hit businesses and individuals.

The national debt ? the sum of all annual budget deficits ? stands at $10.7 trillion. Or about $36,000 for every man, woman and child in the U.S.

Interest payments alone on the national debt will near $500 billion this year. It's already the fourth-largest federal expenditure, after Medicare-Medicaid, Social Security and defense.

This will affect us all directly for years, as well as our children and possibly grandchildren, in higher taxes and probably reduced government services. It will also force continued government borrowing, increasingly from China, Japan, Britain, Saudi Arabia and other foreign creditors.

___

Environment:

The package includes $9.2 billion for environmental projects at the Interior Department and the Environmental Protection Agency. The money would be used to shutter abandoned mines on public lands, to help local governments protect drinking water supplies, and to erect energy-efficient visitor centers at wildlife refuges and national parks.

The Interior Department estimates that its portion of the work would generate about 100,000 jobs over the next two years.

Yet the plan will only make a dent in the backlog of cleanups facing the EPA and the long list of chores at the country's national parks, refuges and other public lands. It would be more like a down payment.

When it comes to national parks, the plan sets aside $735 million for road repairs and maintenance. But that's a fraction of the $9 billion worth of work waiting for funding.

At EPA, the payout is $7.2 billion. The bulk of the money will help local communities and states repair and improve drinking water systems and fund projects that protect bays, rivers and other waterways used as sources of drinking water.

The rest of EPA's cut ? $800 million ? will be used to clean up leaky gasoline storage tanks and the nation's hazardous waste sites.

___

Police:

The stimulus bill includes plenty of green for those wearing blue.

The compromise bill doles out more than $3.7 billion for police programs, much of which is set aside for hiring new officers.

The law allocates $2 billion for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant, a program that has funded drug task forces and things such as prisoner rehabilitation and after-school programs.

An additional $1 billion is set aside to hire local police under the Community Oriented Policing Services program. The program, known as COPS grants, paid the salaries of many local police officers and was a "modest contributor" to the decline in crime in the 1990s, according to a 2005 government oversight report.

Both programs had all been eliminated during the Bush administration.

The bill also includes $225 million for general criminal justice grants for things such as youth mentoring programs, $225 million for Indian tribe law enforcement, $125 million for police in rural areas, $100 million for victims of crimes, $50 million to fight Internet crimes against children and $40 million in grants for law enforcement along the Mexican border.

___

Higher Education:

The maximum Pell Grant, which helps the lowest-income students attend college, would increase from $4,731 currently to $5,350 starting July 1 and $5,550 in 2010-2011. That would cover three-quarters of the average cost of a four-year college. An extra 800,000 students, or about 7 million, would now get Pell funding.

The stimulus also increases the tuition tax credit to $2,500 and makes it 40 percent refundable, so families who don't earn enough to pay income tax could still get up to $1,000 in extra tuition help.

Computer expenses will now be an allowable expense for 529 college savings plans.

The final package cut $6 billion the House wanted to spend to kick-start building projects on college campuses. But parts of the $54 billion state stabilization fund ? with $39 billion set aside for education ? can be used for modernizing facilities.

There's also an estimated $15 billion for scientific research, much of which will go to universities. Funding for the National Institutes of Health includes $1.5 billion set aside for university research facilities.

Altogether, the package spends an estimated $32 billion on higher education.

___

The Poor:

More than 37 million Americans live in poverty, and the vast majority of them are in line for extra help under the giant stimulus package. Millions more could be kept from slipping into poverty by the economic lifeline.

People who get food stamps ? 30 million and growing ? will get more. People drawing unemployment checks ? nearly 5 million and growing ? would get an extra $25, and keep those checks coming longer. People who get Supplemental Security Income ? 7 million poor Americans who are elderly, blind or disabled ? would get one-time extra payments of $250.

Many low-income Americans also are likely to benefit from a trifecta of tax credits: expansions to the existing Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, and a new refundable tax credit for workers. Taken together, the three credits are expected to keep more than 2 million Americans from falling into poverty, including more than 800,000 children, according to the private Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

The package also includes a $3 billion emergency fund to provide temporary assistance to needy families. In addition, cash-strapped states will get an infusion of $87 billion for Medicaid, the government health program for poor people, and that should help them avoid cutting off benefits to the needy.

So he trys to get something done, but no one works with him to achieve that goal.W had alot of help during his tenure esp. with Irag, and now we need help with the economy and its like pulling teeth.

Did I miss something or is he not signing the bill on monday:shrug: Not trying to pick a fight, but W's road to war was a much longer and hard fought than O's stimulas plan. Regardless my point was that radicals on both sides suck and are the downfall of the real America!

I don't agree with this at all.

After 9/11 Bush had alot of support here and in the rest of the world.

There has been more hate towards Obama from day one from the other side.

Not to point out the obvious, but W took office in Jan, not sept. 11th. How about those claiming he knowingly "stole" the election. I assume you also don't remeber that a certain faction of "idgets" said he knew about 9/11 beforehand with some going as far as saying he planned it. By the way some of those individuals still post here. Might want to do a search for pt1gd, or maybe even google "loose Change". My whole point was that both sides have radicals that have managed to infest their parties and seemingly lead the way in many instances. If you dont agree so be it, but to think that just one party is the problem shows at the best bias, and at the worst outright stupidity.

.................................................................

I voted for Bush twice.

I gave him every chance to get things right and do the right things for America.

Time and time again he failed miserably.

Good read ET-- I know you do a lot of trading and I made note earlier that I'd prob never have over 5% of my portfolio ever invested in U.S. stocks again regardless of which party was in power. --Your article is somewhat basis of it--

Our gov is basically holding a no limit credit card paying the minimum each billing period--and IMHO believe we have reached the point of no return--if not now almost certainly before next 4 years is up as I can see more bail outs and adding of socialistic programs coming down the road.

Granted the U.S. is the most productive nation in the world--however doubt they can overcome the load being put on them. Temporarary debt can be overcome--but on going expenses and escalating as time goes on (social programs) are crux of matter. Exactly where will tax revenue come from to pay the piper
--2 sources corp taxes and taxpayors.

Our Corps had hard enough time competing with rest of world due to largest corp taxes in the world--now we will be increasing other costs that foreign corps won't have--litigation cost (O & Co just repealed law on time limit to sue)Unions--and prob the coupe de grace--with be putting carbon taxes on them to pay for their global warming (cooling now I guess) agenda's.
Would expect also they will go into their windfall profit tax to get those that make profit in spite of them. You only have to look at Walmart--to see their agenda--one of few companies making money and #1 on their hit list--because of Dems ties to unions.

Personal taxes: By 2012 les than 50% of Americans will be paying taxes--hard to imagine the tax increases that will have to come down to make this feasible. Like Macolm Gladwell said--- our prob is
"General Motors (GM), Social Security and African poverty all share a root cause: too few producers for each dependent"
--and real cost of stimulus plan is " it creates dependencies that, for political reasons, won't be reversed"

Now lets take a look at the $

If not for $ currently being strong--consider what things would look like today--why is it strong because China and Japan buy our debt because it is in their best interest to keep it strong "for now"
In reality how much control do we have--they own us- lock stock and barrel.

Talk about scarey--how about this little event that occurred on Sept 18 th that got 0 press (understandibly) and was caught on cspan discussion with Democratic Representative Kanjorski-

"On Thursday (Sept 18), at 11 in the morning the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the U.S., to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in the matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help and pumped a $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn't be further panic out there.

If they had not done that, their estimation was that by 2pm that afternoon, $5.5 trillion would have been drawn out of the money market system of the U.S., would have collapsed the entire economy of the U.S., and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed... It would have been the end of our economic system and our political system as we know it...
link with interview--
http://seekingalpha.com/article/119...n-september-18-2008?source=article_sb_popular

I could continue to ramble--but approach to next 4 years anyway--will hold a couple u.S. stocks but biggest position here will be U.S. gas fund as it is inevitable this admin will do everything in their power to make fossil fuels as expensive as possible to make their green tech more affordable--will hold several emerging market stocks (mostly China and afew Brazil) on premise of those who have the gold make the rules. Don't look for any gains in near future but see lots of upside down the road.
At my age (was 59 on Abes birthday past Thursday) can't see ever being invested in over 50% for the duration--have been and will continue to move cash position out of U.S. $ and spread the risk with other currencies,

Don't put all eggs in one basket is probalby soundest advice I was ever given--and will play defensively from here on out. Pretty close to being O-pelosi-Reid proof now--but will tweak it depending on when they start their tax increases-they should have them on hold hoping to get re elected in 2012--and will be 62 then and home free. :)

Have a good day
Varok

THE PRESIDENT & DEMOCTRATS CREATED THE LARGEST WELFARE STATE ?????? I guess the build up to this over the last 8 yrs had nothing to do with anything ????? I would say : with the sweep of a pen, they put the cherry on top !
