Lotta people like CT this week......I'm thinking that "Cuse" has plenty to be competitive with this team and perhaps leave Rentchler's packed house with a W. Coach Greg Robinson was (former DC for Texas,Denver Broncos etc. "Cuse D will bring it and pressure Bonislawski who was 8 for 26 with 3 picks against the only tough team they played. (GT)The mighty CT stats heve been compiled against weak teams and ...fact is... CT has the 2nd fewest # of returning letterman in the country (17). 7 of top 10 O line never played a down before this year. Caulley and Brockington are great but they will need holes to run through and this aint Liberty or Buffalo..
Now Syracuse returns only 5 on O and has struggled to run.......except vs Buffalo (over 300 yds) I think they will keep on improving under 1st year Head Coach and will put at least mid-20s up v CT. That should be enough to cover against CT ...if not Win outright. Nothing wrong with Perry Patterson and CT is no Fl. State.
.....Last year CT with better team lost to the "Cuse" by about 10 in spite of a BIG day by Orlovsky...about 40-30. I'll take 6.5 and the 'Cuse" here.

Bear,

You should run for Governer of Connecticutt just based on your knowledge of Uconn athletics.

You'd win in a landslide.

Rutgers +4

Well, this one goes against the grain.......sooo many on W Va.
This Rutgers team (17 starters return) played a much better WVU team pretty even in last years 35-30 loss at Rutgers. WVU has a decent team but returns a BE fewest starters (8) from last years team and lost 26 letterwinners including their star qb 3of 4 leading tacklers, top running back and 3 wr... Now W Va is not a passing team and will be playing with a (less than 100%) quarterback. I don't see any Tyler Palko...Illini like comebacks in this one. If...and its a big if....... Rutgers jumps out at home as they did vs Ill. and Pitt...it will be over..W Va is NOT an offensive juggernaut and Rutgers will score with them....Both have numbers under 100 against the run but W va's passing high number this year is 180 in a CLOSE game with ECU..........Rutgers is regularly between 200 and 300.......324 in this game last year........(10) 300 yd games for Hart in his stay at Rutgers. Oddly his poorest day this year was against lowly Buffalo.(150 yds) Last week I called them schizophrenic and they are....but maybe only against clubs with better offensive balance. I'm taking the points and before its over Rutgers could go bowling this year. We'll see..

I think your right on in both games, many are not looking at Rutgers and Wv for who they are but who they were. The gap has closed for know.
