Happy Thanksgiving to All
:toast:
YTD 32-23-4

Denver+7 -115 w:mj06:
Denver hit a low last week. After a 6-0 start, they have lost four in a row, the last game a 32-3 drubbing that allowed San Diego to take over the division lead - something that seemed unthinkable when they owned a 3.5 game lead just four weeks ago. They have been outscored 117-37 over their losing streak. Even during their winning streak, Denver didn't get much support from the oddsmakers or public. After four weeks of horrid football, no one wants to touch them. The oddsmakers had to open them as a big home dog, and the public has pushed the line even higher. I believe Denver is ready to make a stand. New York comes in here off a win, but is this team really deserving of a TD-road favorite role? Before last week's win, the Giants had lost four in a row. They haven't covered the spread in five straight games. And, even in the win their defense gave up 31 points. Over the past five games, this defense has allowed 164 points - 32.8 per game! That's just the kind of defense that Denver needs to face right now. Coming in off a very short week, it's not likely that New York was able to remedy what ails them defensively. So there's no reason to expect a major change this week. Antonio Pierce is still out and that only makes matters worse for the G-Men defense. On offense, the Giants will be without Ahmad Bradshaw. With Brandon Jacobs having a bad year, and coming off a leg injury, don't expect the Giants to run the ball particularly well, especially against a Denver defense that is ranked 7th in the league in points allowed. Give me the home team with the much better defense, getting a touchdown.
GL fellas

I was adding some humor to LDB's thread...hence the" :mj07: :mj07: " the post before me was asking for advice on handicapping games.....
If u ever looked at my post then you would see I
do take road favs from time to time...I was just pretty much stating the obvious...Cappers with discipline do keep away from rd fav's...not myself

So Cal
Big time edge for N.E on "Big Games" if u will....
Also big time step up in competition for the Saints....

Some write ups..

New England + 3 over NEW ORLEANS (Monday) -This game will be hard pressed to match
the game two weeks ago when New England nearly ended Indianapolis' perfect season but
it should be just as entertaining. And likely just as high scoring as both teams have potent
offenses capable of big plays from any point on the field. For the Saints this game is
sandwiched between a pair of 2 game road trips. For the Pats it's sandwiched between AFC
East foes the Jets and Miami. It's hard to pass up taking points with the Patriots who've not
been underdogs to an NFC team since defeating St Louis 40-22 as 2 point road pups in
2004. Since then they've been favored 19 straight times against the NFC, winning 17 with 1
of the 2 losses being to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII. The Pats end the Saints' unbeaten
season. New England wins 34-27.

*New England 34 - NEW ORLEANS 27?Initial thought on this one is to
look ?over? the total, which is not cheap. But these two passers, the Monday night
atmosphere in the Big Easy, and Saints? heavenly 14-4 Superdome ?over? mark
more than hint at the attempt. N.O. held out RB Reggie Bush (knee) last week vs.
Bucs. And DT Sedrick Ellis and CBs Tracy Porter & Jabari Greer were out as well.
Brees & Co. 9-4 vs. spread last 13 home. But Brady & Co. 8-4 their last 12 on the
road and 6-2 when getting points. Saints? DB injuries figure to give Tom Terrific
and his receivers the edge.

New England is playing great football right now and are peaking at the right time. New Orleans is coming off a big win over a bad team but they have clearly not looked as sharp over the last month as they did early on in the season. New England was blowing out Indianapolis two weeks ago on Monday Night Football until they let that game slip away. I don?t think that they will let this one slip away and I think that they will win it outright. New England is 37-17-2 ATS on the road and they will be ready to play in a very tough environment.
