T-Mobile vs Verizon

Currently I am with Verizon been w/ them for years & years & quite frankly I think they have gotten a bit expense.

Switching to T-Mobile would save me
about $40 a month for basically the same service.

Has anyone else made this switch? It think its the consensus is the Verizon has the best network, but it is really that much better??

Anyone have any major problems w/ T-Mobile?

Depends on the area where your using it. Also how much you travel. T-Mobile has good coverage in some states and areas and virtually none in others

If you are happy with Verizon and your contract is up, call them to cancel and (I would assume) they will ask you why, and tell them you got a better deal with T-Mobile. My ex works in telecommunications and she said they were told to never let a customer off the phone that wants to leave. So when my contract was up with Sprint, I found a much cheaper T-Mobile plan, called Sprint to tell them I wanted to cancel b/c I was going to switch, and they transferred me to some lady and they offered to match the T-Mobile plan and gave me a new phone to stay with them.

I should also mention that the new plan doubled my anytime minutes, increased my text message from 0 to 500 per month, and actually cost me $1 less a month, in addition to the new phone.

I switched from Sprint to Tmobile two years ago and within 2 months I was back with Sprint. My service was horrible with TMobile. I'm not saying everyone has bad coverage but when I was in my house and at my office I couldn't get calls.

I don't know about Tmobile but I'm switching back to Verizon this week. Nextel sucks and never had a problem with Verizon so they get my business.

everybody around here that leaves verizon winds up going back with them.

i'll try that power play with verizon as soon as my contract is up. thanks bj, good idea.

back in michigan, I had no reception with t-mobile in my apartment, with verizon reception was MUCH better.
