Laughing my butt off! These guys are so bad they are funny! How is Mr. Tough Guy gonna respond to Saudi attack? I am still waiting. All he has done is blame Clinton for being soft on terrorist so let's see what he does after the type of minor strike Clinton dealt with. The big phony.

Stevie Everybody knows it should have been Saudi first. Hell his approval rating would have past 70 on way to 85. Were screwing with the same old folks Clinton and his Dad 41 did. This new bunch from 9/11 and onward. All come out of Saudi with tons of money behind them. We wont do chit. Talk. We wont even thow in a few cruise missles. Our FBI going there to investigate. Sounds like a token jester, and a save face move by Saudi.

Look out for the devil lerking in Iran. Tthey may train more terroist there then anyplace. But the money goes through and from Saudi.

The point is that there was no immediate need to go into Iraq, except of course the 30 million reasons Halliburton gave Cheney. Saudi is and has been more of a terrosist hang-out.
But I know how your republican heart bleeds for those Iraqis so I guess for you that is reason enough to go in. But I can't help wonder that if all that money spent over there was spent on better intelligence that we could of got rid of Saddam without droppng a bomb. If, as they say, the Iraqi people hated him so much.

Stevie......That issue is over and done with! Get over it already.........If it was a good or bad move to go to Iraq is not the case here! Tell me what is going to make everyone happy? If we were to go to Saudi and start taking names and kicking asses for the bombings..........The Democratic party would shit themselves! Let's just face facts......NO matter if Bush ended terrorism, solved world hunger and cured AIDS the left would just have a field day telling us how bad of a guy he is and that Al Gore would have been the better choice for pres.

Blue, get a grip will ya. Bush has done none of those things you mentioned. Let us talk reality ok. The Right keeps saying thank God we have this President. Why? What is he doing any different than any other President would have done. He reacted to a terrible attack on our country, on our soil, that killed 3,000 people. He reacted in a way any President would have. He bombed the crap out of Afaghanastan and did not get much if any protest over that. He hasn't put the country back together yet and the Evil War Lords are in control but we don't hear much about them.
He came into the Presidency and surrounded himself with his fathers buddies from the Gulf War. He came into the Presidency with a plan to attack Suddam come hell or high water. Otherwise why did he surround himself with these old hacks. And don't go tell me how good these guys are because previous to Bush 1 they are the very creeps that propped this hideous torturer Suddam into power. Then through more bungling they created the Gulf War. Now they are back again.
I want to see what he does now that 10 Americans die in a bombing, then what he does when in a few months another 10 or 20 are blown up somewhere.
That is the reality of what the past Administrations had to put up with. You don't blow up a country because 10 people get blown up somewhere. So lets see what he does.

StevieD- I understand your pet peeve about now having a President who will finally do something. I expressed that before too, but it was probably more out of frustration about U.S.'s lack of security, (the borders, air lines, etc.), than anything else. I really wish we would spend more time & $ @ home than abroad, but no matter what happens- there will always be the naysayers. Thats why I like reading the board to see what answers others come up with.
TBONEz- was gonna say "you took it wrong," as I enjoyed reading the Softball thread and was laughing about PP. Then I find you are one of the Moms. Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap... I'm tapping out. "Uncle," "Uncle." I know better than do anything, but retreat.
P.S.- If anyone wants to meet me@ the SB party I'll be the one in the corner being attacked by the Softball Moms. Remember the 3 Stooges where Shemp would be a millionaire if he gets married AND Larry was attacked in the corner?
I DO! No Mas, No Mas:scared

i just read this story & it makes bush's advisors look phony.but i guess you cannot expect his people to act differently than other politcian's advisors.
i had a sales manager who had an expression,"it's not what is thats important, but what it appears to be that's important"
imo, that sums up politics.

stevie,
when the us supported iraq in their war against iran, the administration then thought that iran, with the ayatollah(sp?) was more of a menace than saddam.that kind of strategy is common in politics, side with people who could help us at that time, & worry about the consequences later on.

i believe history will show that the bush foreign team to be one of the best if not the best foreign team in american history.there is nobody on the democratic side who can match them. btw, we don't know how another president, whether republican or democrat, would have acted post 9/11.maybe another president would not have committed troops into afghanistan like bush. when clinton attacked kosovo, there were no "boots on the ground". everything was done through the air & it prooved to be effective. maybe thats how another president would have chosen to fight in afghanistan.

chanman wrote:"Rich ppl w/big bellies who like to gamble Ha,Ha,Ha. Hey, that sounds like us"

very funny! btw,i enjoy reading your posts.

Yes Clinton did have his Somalia, USS Cole, Kosovo.
Bush has his 9/11, Saudi Bomings, Iraq, Afghanistan.
No matter whos in office and what anyone tries. North Korea as for 50 years pops up now and then. Ony now there pop is bigger so we need to be more carefull.
Point Im maing. This oh God were lucky Bush is our President has little value. As anyother who may have been there. What ever approch one may deside to use. None have worked well.
We shot up Afaganistan, Bloody Iraq. But in last week alone two more terroist attacks. So some times Big Guns and Airplanes just wont do it. We need more and more special forces. And we need to keep putting more and more energy into protecting our good old USA right here at the borders.
