Taking Issue with Nick Douglas

Jeez, give me a chance to respond before making 3 replies. Yes, I was reading this forum earlier but it was only during a short break. I was reading STRANGER THAN FICTION which is a brilliant script by Zach Helm that sold last November. It is written in kind of a Charlie Kauffman (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, ADAPTATION) style but really in my opinion it is better than anything Kauffman has written. Now I am done so I'll respond.

Atlanta, Buffalo, Minnesota and Edmonton all have better lines as I type this on tomorrow's games at Olympic compared to Pinnacle. Florida and Columbus have identical lines. You ask why someone would play at Olympic? Maybe because they'd want to play one or more of these games at better odds than Pinnacle offers. How about that for a reason?

Even better, why don't you try this, Jim: play *against* Atlanta, Buffalo, Minnesota, Edmonton, Florida and Columbus tomorrow. Since Pinnacle's juice is so low, you must be getting outstanding lines -- at least 10 cents better than Spiro's -- by playing at Pinnacle. Place those bets and then report back to the forum on how awesome those lines at Pinnacle were. Then when you're done, keep doing it every day and watch yourself get hammered into dust by Henry & Co.

As I've said before, Jim, Pinnacle is a top of the line book. I play there occasionally and I even won $300 bucks from them earlier this month. They are also the sharpest book around. If you want to play with Pinnacle consistently and bet into them on the games where they are offering you the best line, be my guest. But I know better.

Jim, I just showed you a perfect example of how there is value at 20 cent shops. 6 out of 14 possible wagers at the 20 cent shop were at prices equal to or *better than* the ten cent shop. What more needs to be said?

I grew up in NY (now in NJ), I hate the Yankees, mostly because their fans are the biggest assholes around, but a salary cap is not the answer. Everybody says its not fair to the smaller market teams and their owners, tough shit! Who told you to buy a business in Mil. or KC or Minn.? If I own a business I'd be a little pissed off if someone told me that I can't hire someone and pay them what I want to just because they don't have the money to do the same.

Everyone knows that Spiro price gauges. I never said he didn't. I am just saying that you can still find value in a lot of his lines vs. Pinnacle's lines even with the reduced juice.
