kennedy vs. dempster

kennedy has had two starts this year, his only showings, going 5 innings, then 6, against "soft" teams, florida falling in this same category. he allowed 2 earned runs in each game, for a season ave. of 3.18.

dempster has been pitching well in his last 4, improving his short term era to 3.8 in that span, and going an average of 7 innings.

these two are matched real well, with the difference being home advantage and bullpen, not enough to compensate a -180. again, taking into account the lack of experience by kennedy, home advantage, etc., this game would appear to be more like a -140 to -150, making a +170 worthy of a play. besides, if your name is joe kennedy, you can always get away with it, can't you? the under also has a good chance here, although i will skip it, staying with my policy of not giving anything more than 100 except in extreme cases.

tampa +170

I like the game under. TB isn't hitting aat all. Johnson and Wilson are doubtful for Fla so I don't see where the runs are going to come from with these two on the mound.
