I for one am thinking it is going to be a great game.
And I think the winner of this game goes on and wins the Superbowl.
The thing I like is that Tampa looks to be getting better each week , What scares me is what would happen if Brad Johnson gets hurt.. Like Simms said yesterday," no one can take a sack like Rob Johnson"
Looking forward to a fun week of trash talk and a great game on Sunday...
:D :D :D

let me add my 2 cents on this one...i see scot-atlanta psted about how bad philly played vs a subpar falcon defense.

well the truth is mcnabb is just coming back from a long layoff and this sub par defense of atlantas is alot better than the 49er defense anyday. sure brad johnson came back from a layoff as well but once plummer went down let me remind he is there best coener johnson could have done anything

not me ill lay my money on the eagle ml no way they lose to bucs when weather will be that cold. eagles defense is just as good

"Prepared". There that wasn't hard. Nice spelling.

Boy, turned my back for a few hours and whamo, this thread get's hopping.

Scott-Atlanta and Spanky, glad we're on the same side. T-Bay's D is playing their best. This game will come down to the 4th quarter for sure but I gotta believe the Bucs get it done.

I can't wait for this game!!!! A few FSU alumni to cheer for(Johnson and Derrick Brooks and others). Got to watch all these guys play at Doak Campbell before moving here.

Anyways, good luck everyone. It's gonna be great!. nole

what the hell is going on in here? brad johnson and the "paper champions" are gonna beat the eagles at the vet? pass the crack pipe. tb outscored 72-22 last three games at vet. no offensive td's. nada one. big goose egg. bucs will fold like cheap tent. sapp will come up small, as always. start blaming teammates, per usual. b. johnson wont finish game. cant wait for this easy winner.:weed:

Ok, so I don't post much but please this one is easy.

It's the EAGLES this weekend. Gruden has done wonders for TB but this game belongs to Philly. TB offense too weak for the Eagle D. Like my chances with McNabb & Co. vs. Bucs defense.

Big, big difference between playing an injured secondary at home rather than playing the Eagles secondary at the Vet.

This one is all EAGLES.

For some reason the Eagles are continuously undervalued and under estimated this year Especially from a betting standpoint. The Eagles have proven time and again that they can shutdown this team.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS:

LINE ATS &
MARGIN OVER/UNDER O/U &
MARGIN
DATE DAY VIS SC HOM SC OPEN CLOSE OPEN CLOSE G/T
12/31/00 Sun TB 3 PHI 21 +1.5 +3 PHI +21.0 34.5 33.0 U -9.0 T
01/06/02 Sun PHI 17 TB 13 -3.0 -4.0 PHI +8.0 35.0 33.0 U -3.0 G
01/12/02 Sat TB 9 PHI 31 -3.0 -3.5 PHI +18.5 33.0 33.0 O +-7.0 T
10/20/02 Sun TB 10 PHI 20 -3.5 -3.0 PHI +7.0 37.0 36.5 U -6.5 T

What has changed, to make anyone think this one will be any different?

Personally, I think the Eagles are better than they were last year. Do you TB backers think they (TB) are any better than they were last year? Gruden may be a slight improvement over Dungy, but he can't make his personnel matchup any better against the Eagles.

imo, the only way TB wins is if they do not turn the ball over, score on special teams, and/or get to's in close and score. Otherwise, I don't think they can score more than 10 on their own. I don't love laying the 3' as Eagles offense didn't look great last week. However, with another week of practice, they will be better in this game. Its Eagles on the ML and minus the points or no bet for me.

If you think Layin 4 is undervalued in this game, I'm sorry but I just don't see it
I am quite serious when I call this a "Pick-em " game (although Philly does have to lay 3 for homfield let's say ). That is why I will be betting 50% $$$ LINE and 50% plus the 'number'.
I also plan on betting N.F.C. to win the S. Bowl,as both of these teams are Much quicker and (so far) healthier than the A.F.C. foes,as well as both N.F.C. squads have advantage at special teams suck as punt and kickoff coverage, and extremely FASTER to the ball on Defense( thus, more hits ,harder hits -result MORE TURNOVERS )....
Spanky...........;)

I wouldn't read too much into the offensive output you saw on Sunday. Frisco's D is horrible. I saw several plays where multiple receivers were wide open. Two of those plays were TD's. Also Tampa offensive line is aweful. Johnson felt a lot of pressure from the 9ers and he'll see a lot more on Sunday in Philly. Last, Tampa still could not get a running game going again on Sunday. Brad Johnson will not be able to throw the ball all over the field like he did at home. He's going to be flushed out of the pocket or on his ass, one of the two.

Take it from me, I live here in Tampa, I've watched this team all season. They aren't going to be able to go up there and pull out a win. Take Philly on the moneyline. :Yep:

Philly was sloppy in the Atlanta win. They should have dominated the Falcons way more than they did.

I am leaning towards a Tampa Bay win in Philly.

Aces - I dont think Philly represented like they should have against the Falcons. They struggled scoring that 20 points against a average Atlanta defense. With Carpenter and bolden down they really were not playing well and managed to take the game outcome deep into the third quarter.

The weather may not be a factor this time for Tampa as there is just too much at stake. Gruden is the big differance. He will have Tampa Bay ready. Philly takes a butt kick and goes down.
