Going to be a tough year. I've been thinking....just get to .500 in the conference and anything can happen in the tournament.

This team looks average at best and may not make the big dance....can't believe we can't even compete with Va at home... :(

Yeah, no complaints being a Tarheel fan...just hoping they get into the big dance this year. The way the conference is so "average" hurts more than helps. Even though there are really no dominant teams, there are also no "easy" games and that will make it a struggle to get into the tourney. Still a lot of games left, so we'll see...

I agree with you DimeDaddy last year's team was loaded and most importantly people forget how many minutes those guys logged. This year's team is athletic, but so inexperienced and it continues to show game after game after game now. In the meantime, I will have a hard time backing them most nights going forward unless the line is so ripened for the piciking. However, even though I feel this conference lacks consistency it has teams I think will strike fear once they get into the tourney.

Best,
Kaiser

any team that plays disciplined that can score the heels will lose against home or away there guards get frustrated and just give the game away-

Just a tough situation for Heels this year. Brutal non-conf schedule coming off a great year where everyone left. On top of that, just no easy games in the conference. No one in ACC is "great" but almost no one is bad either.

Most years, in a 12-team conference, a team like UNC can find 4-6 easy wins and bullshit their way to the dance. Just not there this year and unless they really turn things around or make a run in the conf tourney.....not even sure they make the NIT.

We'll be better next year and back to normal in 2-3 years, but even with the young team...just too many mistakes every game.

Lost way too much off last year's team and these days its a lot tougher to rebuild overnight. Only so many John Wall's out there.

UNC has a lot of talent but so young and inexperienced in a conference that is very balanced top to bottom.

No excuses....we aren't very good this year...but look who we lost off last year's team. Look at Florida. They still haven't recovered from losing everyone after repeating...
