Just had this chart up yesterday per effects of tax cuts

Treasury Secretary John Snow released this chart today, showing the growth in federal tax revenues since the 2003 Tax Act.

I will give some odds if anyone wants to wager on what tax increases do to revenue in comparison.

My money is it will do the same as 1/3 of stimulus going for entitlements did to stimulate economy--some very ugly #'s out today and 650,000 were deleted from equations and put in quit looking catagory.

I can say with some certainty-I can think of one tax thats is good for economy.
Can anyone?

I think it's fine that he's held accountable for his statements and actions. I think the dems in general have done a poor job of managing our tax dollars of late, despite the scenarios that have unfolded. 2011 will be a telling year for me with Obama, and his pledge to work on the debt. He's mentioned tough decisions and cuts coming that people won't like. I think they have to be across the board, and not traditional one-sided efforts. If he doesn't take control of this in the coming couple of years, I can't see voting for him again, not that he was my first choice in the primaries. But I would vote for him again today, if my other choice was a McCain/Palin ticket. I could never punch a ticket with Palin attached to it.

I admire your honesty and commend your wisdom. I have found you to be one of the most open-minded individuals I have ever run across. :0008

...................................................................

that was just rude

are you being rude to me intentionally ?

No, and I'm sorry if I offended you. It was rather rude and if you would like me to explain why a retired person with an IRA would contribute (up to $100,000 per year) directly to a charity from their IRA, I'll look it up for ya.

Listen Turfgrass

If I can call you Turfgrass

I would be willing to put up a thousand as a charitable donation to get RAYMOND out of the hell he has claimed upon himself.

You donate a thousand and we will let RAYMOND come up with the other 500 bucks

Once the account is clear we take ownership of it and fawk hammer some plays.

then we are richer and everyone is happy

do you feel this charitable side of you coming out ?

just wondering

I don't think Raymond would qualify as a charity, plus I'm not his legal guardian.

So, no I guess I don't feel like that's gonna happen...

Turfgrass, you hold no credibility on one front: payroll taxes were cut in his first month of office. I see several other bogus claims, too numerous to mention.

Before the bullshit flies, where are the sources to back some of this up?

Thank you for listening, I'll wait for a response.

The tax cut was part of Obama's campaign promises.

Under the stimulus bill, single workers got $400, and working couples got $800. So on that front I guess your right...in the short term.

But as far as I know we're not going to keep passing stimulus bills, thus they are temporary and the ones I have referred to will not be.

There's no disputing that tax rates will rise, (so I don?t need sources) but the question of who's responsible for that tax increase is another matter entirely. I can?t BLAME Obama because of tax policy signed into law by a previous session of congress. And it might be unfair to call it a tax increase merely because Obama doesn't change existing tax law to keep rates low, but tax rates will none the less go up? which is the point of my post.
