Good evening all
I have been out of the loop for a bit raising my newborn but what can I say.... no one likes a quitter...
A team I think will make some waves this season
North Carolina Tarheels
True they only return 10 starters but that really wasn't a very good team and the freshman/redshirt freshman should be impact players. Yates, Sexton and Paulus all have potential at QB to make a Butch Davis offense very productive. Yates the spring front runner has all the talent to make the tarheel offense productive in the passing game. Warren or Elzy have good ability at running back but one has to emerge in order to take some strain off the QB. Two impact freshman will be Marvin Austin and Da'Norris Searcy BUT... Coach John Bunting redshirted 20 of 25 freshmen in 2006, but new coach Butch Davis says he expects about half of his incoming 24-member class to get the opportunity to play this fall. That would include four newcomers -- TE Zach Pianalto, LB Quan Sturdivant, DB LeCount Fantroy, and LB Bruce Carter -- who enrolled in January and were available for spring practice. Davis has done a very good job recruiting in his first year and the heels have speed and talent in key positions on offense and defense. This should be a very competitive team and have the ability to make waves in the ACC.
Cheers
